darksteel01
Hey guys. I recently bought a used car Ford Fusion SE 2015 with 6k miles. I created an online account with ford and realized I have a new update for Sync (EA5T-14D544-AD-4 see screenshot). I follow the instructions step by step, but when I go to the car and insert the USB I get few errors. 1) USB not recognized ( I used 2 different USB formatted as DOS-FAT) 2) The first message disappears in 1 second, and the second error is "Bad Installation, one or more files are corrupted (see attachment)" When I extract the file, there is no "SyncMyRide folder, which makes me think twice if ford if giving me the right file...(see attachment) Please advise .
Multitask
I see you are doing it on a Mac. You probably see SyncMyRide/filenames##### I know I do. and not a Folder SyncMyRide with the filenames##### inside. Create a folder with the SyncMyRide, rename all the files without the SyncMyRide/ and then copy them into that folder. The files that do NOT have the SyncMyRide as part of the name, stay in the root NOT in the SyncMyRide folder THEN try it again Also, just so you are up to date on the updates, read the forums before you do all that. There are issues to read about. Edited June 18, 2016 by multitask
