  1. I have a 2006 Fusion SEL and lately I've been having trouble using the remote start. Usually, when it does work, I hold down the button and the horn chirps twice and then starts right up. Now that it's winter, it just chirps once and doesn't do anything at all. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with the car battery because the car battery is 6-7 years old.

Thank you so much for your help. I'll update you when something changes!

I'm not sure how to check to see if there is any signal coming out of the radio to the amp. I'm 100% sure were getting power to the amp, we tested the wire to see if it was hot and it was. The navigation unit, I'm guessing, came out of a car with subwoofers. I'm not 100% sure though but it does have the 8-pin plug in the back for the amp. Most, if not all, Fusion's or Milan's that have a navigation system are pretty loaded. Also, which wire on the wiring diagram would be the wiring clip?

Also, we made sure to keep the power wire and the wires going from the navigation/radio unit separated, so there would be no interference.
  5. Subwoofer Help

Last summer, I decided I wanted to put (kind of) stock trunk deck subwoofers in my 2006 Fusion SEL. I found a wiring diagram explaining where everything went and we (my dad and I) followed that wiring diagram. Instead of using stock subwoofers for the Fusion generation (2006-2009), I found two subwoofers, Sony, from a 2011 Fusion, same size as the stock ones, 6x9. I couldn't find any stock subwoofers (Audiophile) anywhere. But we used the stock amplifier from the 2006-2009 generation. Before all this, I bought a 2008 Mercury Milan Navigation unit, so it had the 8-pin connection for the amplifier on the back ready to go unlike the unit I had before. I went to a local junkyard and got the connections for the Navigation unit and connections for the actual amp. I bought, one of two, amplifiers on eBay. We followed the diagram exactly, connected the power wire to the fuse box and nothing. We're certain the subs work because we tested them beforehand. After that, I just quit because I thought it was the amplifier, so last week, I bought another one and the same thing, nothing worked. Anyone have any ideas? Could it be that we mixed subwoofers from a 2011 Fusion with an amp from a 2009 Fusion? Also, does anyone know what "Enable CUP" means on the diagram, the VIO/RED one going to the amp? I inserted the wiring diagram.
  6. I currently have the “premium” cloth seats in my 2006 Ford Fusion. I was wondering if I could put used leather seats from another Fusion or Milan (2006-2009) into my Fusion SEL without problems. The only problem I could think of is the connections with the heated seats, I wouldn’t be able to use them but I didn’t know if the connection for the heated seats on the leather seats would cause an issue with installation.
  7. Hi, I own a 2006 Ford Fusion SEL V6. Everything has been running pretty much perfect since I got it over a year ago. Ever since I got it in August of 2016 it has been telling me to "Check Charging System", only when in the accessory or on position but when I actually start it up, it goes away and there's no light or message. Just wondering if there is anything that needs to be done? The battery, I'm pretty sure, is two or three years past the normal changing, maybe six or seven years old.
  8. Adding SiriusXM Radio

I have a 2006 Ford Fusion SEL with a 2008 Fusion navigation system. How would I go about adding SiriusXM to my car?
  9. Windows getting scratched

The outside of my windows are getting scratched but I don't know how. I can hear it when I rolled them (all) down. It's not scratching the tint because the tint is on the inside. It goes away when the window is wet. It's leaving vertical lines.
  10. Creaking noise in hot weather

    Does it sound like this?
  11. Wiring Guides

Does anyone know where I can find a wiring guide for the 8 speaker 2006-2009 Ford Fusion, including the amplifier?
  12. 2010-2012 Sony Amplifier

I was wondering, does the Sony amplifier in a 2010-2012 Ford Fusion power more than just the two subwoofers in the back? Or is it connected to more speakers?
  13. TPMS on 2006 Ford Fusion

I have a 2006 Ford Fusion SEL V6, I was wondering if the Fusions came with a Tire Pressure Monitoring System? How can I tell? I've never have had a flat tire or have let my tires get very low.
  14. Sony Subwoofers

I don't know a whole lot about speakers but my dad seems to know a little. I want to add the 2010-2012 Sony subs in my 2006 Ford Fusion and I already bought an amp for the Audiophile system that I THOUGHT I was going to install. My dad seems to think the subs will work with that amp... any thoughts? Should I buy a used 2010-2012 Sony amp?
  15. lose radio when turning on rear defroster

You may notice that the 2006 Ford Fusion doesn't have an antenna (unlike the 2007-2009) because the antenna is integrated into the back window with the "heat coils".
