Starting on Monday (11/24) the site now is a fixed width. What changed and is there any way to make it properly fit my widescreen monitor again? Or do we have to be forced to pretend we have the lowest-common-denominator of tiny phones and tablets?

It's set to 1000 pixels wide for now, however, we can alter that if there's demand for a wider format.

Why is it a fixed width? What's wrong with it being dynamic like it was before? The current setup is stupid as if you narrow the screen, it doesn't reflow!

My monitor is 1920px wide, 1000px looks like I've viewing a page from 1999.  Please go back to a dynamic width.  I don't know what's involved in that, but come on, help a brother out.
