Beeping Horn when you leave car running

Beeping Horn running car

Best Answer akirby , 04 January 2016 - 10:21 PM

No it can't be switched off. It's telling you that you removed the intelligent access key from the vehicle while it's still running. It thinks you may have dropped off the person with the IA key and doesn't want you to be stranded when you shut it off later.

There are 3 easy workarounds,

Leave the door open
Leave the fob in the vehicle.
Turn it off. Go to the full post

In the morning  I back out the garage and go back in my home office for  my bags if I leave the car running the horn blows very loud 2 honks.

Can this be switched of or tempered at least I think my neighbors probably hate this already .I appreciate the warning "cars running - and you just closed your door"but this is not working for me.

I turned it  off yesterday.

You will need ELM cable and FORScan software.
