How they came up with that name is still a head-scratcher.

What is a shooting brake?

Thanks Artie.  I knew the shooting part but had not heard where "brake" came from.

Hatchbacks are cool but I love a car with a big ol' butt. I'd drive a freaking hearse if I was allowed to park it at work, but they say it's "bad taste" to drive a hearse to a children's hospital. LOL

Well, they did say that the chassis was known as a brake and they were originally used to break in horses.  You know how confusing that can get for some. ;)

I saw the cool setup in Beethoven's Fusion 'estate' and realized that I needed something similar.

However, it had to be implemented in a different fashion since I don't have an estate wagon.

Here are some pictures.

The red push-button switch at the top is for switching the voltmeter on only when necessary. I didn't want to have another item with constant battery bleed.

The two breakers at the left are a 15A main and an 8A to protect my trailer wiring electronic module.

The location may not be obvious in the picture, but it is in the boot immediately forward of the left hand tail lights.
