'shuffle' does not work

Recommended Posts

Have some music on a stick. I want to play the songs in a random order, so I engage 'shuffle'. But it wont do anything. It does not 'shuffle'

It doesn't visibly change anything, but it should change the next song that gets played. Basically it shuffles the songs around the one that's currently playing.

Try a few in a row, then back up, turn shuffle off and back on, then go forward again - you should get different songs.

On my 2011 Fusion, you need to do a 'PLAY ALL', then 'Shuffle ON', to make it play everything. Otherwise, it may only shuffle the current album or genre.

On my 2012 I can not shuffle MP3s on a stick. It may be a version thing.

My solution is to use Media Monkey to create the stick with the songs in random order. (Or the order I want.)

It may also depend on how the mp3 files are stored.

What I've discovered today is, since the SYNC SW-update, that the suffle mode is working, only between the existing MP3 folders.

In other words, he can now play a title from one folder and the next title is from another folder.

But for the songs in one folder, the suffle mode remains dead.
