Rear wheel bearing noisy only 61k.

Recommended Posts

Only 61k and Monty is growling, so I replaced the RR hub assembly, Now we have ABS, Hill assist inactive & Advancetrac lights on. Don't see any way to reset them. OBD/ABS scanner shows nothing. Will is just reset if there is no problem?

I just told the wife to drive it a few days and if it stays on, I will just take it to Ford next week.

mine had 50k when I bought it and there is a bad roaring noise from the rear, it gets real bad around 40mph, took it to the dealer and they told me it was the tires! seriously?

did yours get louder around a certain speed?

how much trouble was the hub replacement? I know its the bearing. Ive never had tires make that noise, even mud tires on a truck dont sound this loud.

just a thought? is it bearing noise or have the rear brakes locked up on you? watch your rotors.

I would think the brakes are much more common problem than the bearing.

If you find it is the brakes please read my fix.
