I have a 2012 SEL Fusion, I finally got my DTRL turned on now my Puddle lights nor my Interior lights come on when I unlock the car. The Interior lights don't even come on when I open a door. At night the parking lights flash and the headlights come on but no interior lights! The fuses are good and the interior lights will come on manually! What could be my problem and how do I correct it! All of the above worked before!

Check your manual - I think there is a kill switch for the interior lights, maybe next to the moonroof controls.

Both F9 and F10 have been pulled , inspected and replaced. The interior lights will come on via the switch at the light and the dash dimmer switch, just not when the doors are opened or when the car is unlocked. Had to go into the module for the lighting to enable the Day Time Running Lights since dealers said I couldn't turn them on. The dealers looked up the Vin numbers and said that since my car didn't come with DTRLs they couldn't be added, WRONG!! My question is, Is there anything other than module programming that would control the behavior of the interior lights and puddle lights, and what is that option in the lighting module?

The SJB controls the puddle lights (F10) and the interior lamps (F9) through 2 FETs that are logic controlled.

So either both FETs are blown or there is a "programming" issue.

Exactly what do you mean by "had to go into the module for the lighting"?

Was this programming performed by the dealer?

No, Dealers said that it couldn't be done. A friend connected and enabled the DTRLs and that's all! The entire Illuminated Entry appears to have been turned off. So you do think it is a programming issue then.

Since there are two circuits involved, I can't think of a single hardware issue that would disable both the puddle lights and the interior lights.

Also since the problem only occurred after the software change - yes, I think it is probably a programming issue.

Could you use forscan and an odb2 adapter to fix it yourself? http://fordfusionhyb...23-for-windows/

Having an obd2 adapter and Forscan onhand is always a good idea.

Perhaps it will show some fault codes that can be reset and solve your issue or actually identify a hardware root cause that can be corrected.

I think your best bet is to have Mr Programmer come back and fix it.

Sounds like you have enabled either Dark Mode or Silent Mode. These are usually active for police vehicles.

Dark Mode:

Puddle lights won't come on ever.

Silent Mode:

Disables DRL
Disables All Courtesy Lighting (Outside and Inside Vehicle)
Disables Welcome / Farewell Strategy of All Displays
