SYNC Rebooted

Recommended Posts

Today, I got in my car after work, cranked up, backed out of my spot and started down the road.  I noticed that the radio was silent. I took at quick peek at the SYNC Screen (MFT) and it was black.  So, figuring that I had hit the off button by accident, I pushed it once, nothing. Pushed again, Radio started playing but screen was black. Then, the "SYNC" word appeared with a graduated bar below it. The words "Scheduled System Maintenance" appeared above the bar.  Seemed that the system was rebooting.  After completing the reboot, everything was fine. This being my 3rd Fusion (2011, 2014 and 2016), I have never had my SYNC system do this unless, I initiate it.

Did I do something to initiate the reboot?

Just thought this was strange.

The system periodically reboots to install updates, this is normal.

I have a 2015 purchased used a 1 1/2 years ago and it rebooted several times shortly after I got it. This reminded me that it hasn't done that in a long time. So, I would advise don't worry about it, just sync doing its thing.
