Hi, guys.

Do you know where I can find the required oil for the PTU and the Rear Differential ? I've been trying to seek for it, but my local dealer, have told me to use Mercon LV, is it correct ? Or should I use anything different ?

Use only what is specified in the owner's manual. If you don't have one you can get it from fleet.ford.com or www.motorcraftservice.com .

Ford does not advertise this as technically you don't replace the oil, the main problem is, I have to, since I'm doing a maintenance in the car and the ptu and rear differential oil had to be flushed... now I don't know the correct specifications.

Dude - it's right there in the owner's manual like I said. PTU and Differrential fluid specs.

Here - I'll make it easy for you.

You are 100% right, I was really stupid here for not reading the manual, I'm sorry. I was mad because the dealer provided me with wrong informations, telling me I had to use Oil SAE 140 for rear differential and 180w190 for PTU wtf ? A ford tech telling me to do this ? 100% wrong....

Here in Brazil, the dealers don't give a **** about you, they only want to take your money.... by charging you 50/hour for services and still providing you with very wrong informations... Imagine if I followed what I was told to, it would be a disaster. :(

Also, my tranny went down at 50k miles, and the tech that fixed it, also had to make repairs in the PTU and he filled it with SAE 90 oil, now I'm feeling a vibration in my car in the first 5-10 minutes while "pushing", I believe this is due to the SAE 90 oil, I'll go tomorrow to an oil exchange shop and ask to change it immediately to SAE 75w140 Synthetic...

For the tranny, he has used Dexron III-H, not sure if it will work good, but considering what he did with the SAE 90 oil in PTU, I guess it is better to flush the tranny oil and replace with proper one which is Mercon LV...
