Would this not be more of a WARM air intake?  It looks like the intake remains inside the engine bay.

Sorry I never got an email you replied. I think what makes it cold is the fact there is a heat shield. But this is a much larger debate. There’s no question though that Steeda makes great product.

  2. Hi All,

I decided to remove the Steeda CAI on my 2010 Fusion Sport as I am giving the car to my wife (I ordered a 19 Mustang GT Premium).  I have the original box and all original part and accessories for the install.  I will also include filter cleaner and oil.  I would say the intake has about 25,000 miles on it and I cleaned it once/year.  Looking for $250 shipped (lower 48 states) OBO.  PM me for any questions.

    Thanks
    Greg

  3. I'm about to do my retrofit for my Fusion..

Did you dremel the back open?? I have no problem doing so but the thing got me worried is the dust. Is the rear sealed off? How did you control the dust from geting inside the housing?

It looks like you chewed away at the mounting point in order to fit the new projector in. Simple enough to hit that with pliers and break it away..

    Thanks!

I did Dremel the back. I used a mini ship vac to control the dust. It did get in the housing so I took time with canned air and vacuum to clean it out. Needle nose pliers will do the trick to break off the parts near mounting points. Whatever you do, DO NOT Dremel that part. The dust it creates isassice and so fine you'd ruin the light and never get it clean.
  4. Hey all, we traded in the wife's 09 Fusion SE 4cyl. I have a few parts from it I would like to sell. I can get pics ASAP, just haven't had a change to snap them.

    1) OEM Headlights blackhoused and retrofitted with MH1 projectors. I did not do this retro, another member did. Relay harness and upgraded XB bulbs included. $400 shipped + fees to CONUS OBO. SOLD

  5. Back to the OP question...

I had an 07 Accord where I added the Factory Navi. Then I got my 2010 Sport wiht Factory Navi and it is 1 million times better than the Accord was. Add the Sony System to it, this set up is as good as any OEM set up I have encountered. Better thanmy dads 08 MKZ. The NAvi screen is huge, super clear, and really amazing. I would spend the extra money on it 2 fold.
