Fusion Noir

I intend to install an in line transmission filter on my 07 SEL 6 speed, but can not be certain which line is the return line. Could someone identify it for me?

My 07 SEL made a similar sound. The insulation material above the resonator on the rear left side was detached, and made noise in the wind. Epoxy fixed it.

My 07 SEL made a similar noise at about 60mph and above. The insulation above the resonator was detached at the left rear corner and made noise in the wind. The sound seemed to come from the console. Epoxy fixed it.

What broke?

It is incredibly rare for an engine to fail with so few miles. Do you know the cause?

Broke down in the 14K mile old Fusion this morning. Simply lost power just cruising on the freeway...talk about a scary experience! And three hours later, I'm finally in a motel thanks to the speedy and nice Roadside Assistance! :cheerleader:

 

Had the wrecker drop off the car at the nearest Ford dealer. Found a cheap motel since I'm already paying for a stay at a hotel another hour away from the breakdown site.

 

Definitely not a fan of the lack of customer service, but anybody else had to go through it yet on their Fuse? I'm thinking my 5K mile old one is getting a For Sale sign in it as soon as I get that one back to my home location. Who would have figured, the Fords I have at home break down on the same day, leaving the only good one the car I left stashed at the second home...grrr

What broke?

Yes, the car is worthless, almost, on the open market but has new tires, a new battery, alternator, etc. and we use it as our backup auto. Still runs great. About 85,000 miles on it.

I'm still waiting for delivery of my V6 SEL; until then I will keep driving my 89 Thunderbird. It has about 160,000 on it, and with the exception of a water pump about 50,000 miles ago, it has been trouble free. I think I'll keep it. Great car.

I like the clean look of the Fusion. I ordered my new SEL in Oct., not knowing that after Sept. they would all have an antennae stuck up on the roof. The car looked great until that was added. Now I'm stuck with it. I would have it removed, but since it does not have an antennae in the rear glass; like I thought it would have, therre isn't much I can do about it. The antennae is so out of place.

The new mast antennas is now being produced with all Fusions. Some 2007's don't have the mast antenna because they didn't start using them till Job 2 4 Sep 06

My SEL was built in Nov. and should be delivered soon. When I ordered the car I was assured there would not be a mast antennae on it. Now I'm worried.

I've been using Meguair's Gold on my Mustangs for years - great wax.

Should new car paint be polished before was?

I should receive my SEL next week. I am serious about maintaining a good paint finish. What do dealers do to prep the car? Do they send them through a car wash?
