  1. alos don"t forget the lane keeper comes with the blind spot & the rear assist alert for backing out or driveways/parking spots. those 2 features alone are worth the add on in my opinion & of course the long journey's when you may get tired & need LK
  2. I recently picked up my Ti awd with lane keeper mostly for the bind spot alert for the rare occasion that If i was not following the flow of cars and needed to change lanes for an evasive maneuver. To my surprise it also includes cross traffic alert when backing out of driveway up to 45 ft away. It has an approximate 180 degree sweep that actual detected my garbage can on the adjacent edge of my garage. So I believe this would also be an added safety feature for other objects (pedestrian, kids on bikes, etc,) that would be impossible to see from the rear quarter of the car s vantage point. I am blown away with the technology that this ti fusion has (including IA, with remote start) albeit not required by any means but makes the car in my opinion more fun and safer to drive in certain unforeseen circumstances.
  3. This car is slightly unique from the other that had a side mirror heated button separately but the 13 fusion is tied to the rear window defrost per the manual.
  4. Just had my 13 fusion Ti done. Got my referral in ct from global window films when searching BBB for ratings. This guy was highly recommended by global and met all expectations. Comes right to your house fully prepared with all % VLT variations to choose from. Global dry film plus has lifetime warranty and I went with 30% on sides with 15% on rear & moonroof. All this top notch service at your door for $200 +tax. Took a little over 3 hrs. And he did it like it was his own car, meticulous to say the least & excellent workmanship. If you are in southern ct, I highly recommend this guy, same price as the big shops with individual attention done by same person you deal with throughout entire process. Priceless. Can't wait for the sun to come out up here & see it in sunlight.
  5. Went with 30% on the sides, 15 on the rear and moonroof. I have a mini-cooper with 20 & as I get older it's harder to see at night so I plat played it safe but not too light. Car has 5% from factory so I essentially have 25% which looks dark with black on black landscape.
  6. I'm also in ct and would like something darker than 35, do you have a pic of your ride with 28%? is it still light enough to see out at night?
  7. Looking for opinions on what others may have chosen for window tint transparency % specifically with black exterior, and if they are satisfied with the exterior appearance and the interior drivability/privacy level while maintaining ability to see clearly at night with darker 20% or less tint.
  8. Just picked up my Ti tuxedo black this week, so with the black leather I'm looking to tint but not sure what level. In ct 35 is legal but I don't know how that will look? Anyone with a black exterior who has used 35% tint and has any feedback (positive or negative). I think they offer 30 which may be a compromise but would like some user experience before I decide. To add more complexity the wife says she does not want it too dark where she can not see out at night!
  9. My titanium came with 2 fobs & a valet key. I read the manual and am not sure how the key would be used to start the car without the fob? I asked the dealer to clarify, if he gets back to me I'll let you know
  10. Well I just picked up my black beauty Ti awd yesterday and did receive the 750 brochure coupon thanks to the valuable info from this site. I Ended up with 2250 in incentives/coupon (1500 expires 7/9 + 750 coupon). Ti AWD with lane keeping system/moonroof/nav/19 wheels/premium mats & all weather mats total before taxes for 31,975 which lists for 36,950. The dealer was a pleasure to do business with and deducted the 750 just by me referencing it was on Vincent. All in all a pleasurable experience and look forward to my new ride. It took just over 10 weeks from my initial order, not too bad for a special order car.
  11. I will be picking up my 2013 fusion Ti awd this week & dealer states the EW is $2,400 and is fully refundable if never used. Geico offers 3rd party if car is less than 1,500 miles or 15 mths for 122/year x 6 years (conservatively) = $732 with 250 deductible. My car also has the nav, moon roof & drivers assist (complex electronics) in addition to the AWD so I am on the fence with geico plan & skeptical of the dealers "full refund" if unused. At least I have some time to decide with geico EW plan even though as stated here they are not as good as OEM EW plan. Decisions, decisions, otherwise life would be boring!
  12. Dealer states ETA is may 19, so I patiently wait.
  13. Has anyone experienced any issues with GPS with 20% or darker tint. I am getting the nav built in and heard that too dark could impact the navigations performance?
  14. Date at bottom of sticker is 4/23 and Eli's shows the actual 30.04.2013 so it was built on April 30. Thanks for your help and I think I spill have car by months end. Will let all know when it arrives, can't wait for my 1st ford ever! Hopefully this car converts me into a repeat ford customer.
  15. Thanks for the info. He did provide VIN & the date on sticker is today's date april 30, so i guess that means it started production today? This should also show on ford etis site with more info this week but I think I am in good shape to have car before June 1. This is awesome since I have a 750 brochure coupon that expires 6/10 & dealer said he would honor even if car came in after that date but I don't want to leave it to word of mouth.
  16. dealer informs me he received my window sticker today. Approx. 2.5 weeks from VIN assignment. He states I should have car in within 3 weeks. does this seem typical for the process? i'd be happy to have car by memorial day even.
  17. just got my VIN today, so i am a happy camper & now the process can begin.
  18. Just received my VIN today & it shows in Etis as build date 30.11.0002? Seems like a place holder until the actual scheduled date gets assigned? I think I am in good shape to use my $750 brochure coupon as it expires 6/10. I can alway request additioanl if it seems like car won't be ready by then.
  19. Ordered mine on march 1, dealer claims I will have a VIN by April 15. I asked him for an order # because the one on my order when i placed my deposit was a generic 1111 that ford customer service said they could not ref as this is a general order # for mutiple cars by the dealer. What exactly is a DORA & does this get created prior to VIN assignment? I guess my dealer has not entered my actual order until today and thus the VIN in a couple of days? They must have a process before a VIN is assigned but he claims that I should just wait for the VIN and a order # serves no purpose at this point. 5 weeks plus and still no order confirmation, seems strange to me.
  20. Can any tell me the priority rating scale for the vehicle order confirmation form. Mine states a priority of 10 & order code 400a/Flt. Not sure what these codes mean but 10 does not sound elevated. 5 weeks & still waiting for vin which dealer says in a week or 2.
  21. 2013 Ti fusion AWD tuxedo black with nav, moonroof, driver lane assist w blind spot, 19" dark ss wheels, upgraded floor mats. Paid 32,750 using x plan as a baseline & includes a 1,500 factory rebate. I believe I negotiated 200 - 250 below x plan between mutiple dealer negotiations.
  22. Thanks for the feedback. I did call customer service to ask for a brochure in person as well as on line submital and I'm glad I did. The rep looked up my address and confirmed that I was assigned a incentive code with authorization under my wife's name & it is transferable since it is assigned to the same address. The dealer said this is typically a $500 rebate and will be credited once I have a VIN # to complete the transaction under. Btw it was originated toady & expires in 60 days, so that make sense for the brochure coupon.
  23. thanks for the advice as i wait another 4 weeks or so for my car Ti AWD Fusion to come in, i did go ahead and order the brochure & hope to get a $750 coupon. Do your chances increase if you request mutiiple models (fusion, edge, etc) within the same request or is the coupon specific to a specific model & getting one in a Ford Edge brochure serves no purpose toward a Fusion purchase? Also, when does the coupon expire typically after you receive it. Hopefully it is valid at least for 30 days from shipping brouchure out? thanks for the help.
  24. Thanks for the clarification, just another nice feature that ford adds to the Ti models that I am glad to have made the upgrade. Honestly, I was originally driven to the Ti 2L Ecoboost model for the sole purpose of AWD option that none of the other fusion models offered. I would have considered a TI hybrid if it came in AWD but they don't even offer that option. Now I find out the other added convenience benefits that are built into this package and now I just sit and wait patiently for my car to be delivered in another 4 weeks or so.
  25. I have a 2013 Ti AWD on order and from what I read is that remote start is standard (with no add ons needed to function fully) with this car with a range of up to 300 ft. is this in fact standard equipment & What are the differences of the ford factory remote vs. aftermarket products?
