  1. Yep happened to me many years ago left my running lights on for a weekend with key in car. (I use door code often). Had to get my car broken into to pop the trunk and have jumped
  2. Definitely the fan of the infotainment system. It reminds me of a computer fan. I think it blows on the hard drive usually after I shut off the car. I think there is a fan for the batteries in the back that run the ev
  3. 2011 ffh. Bought it new I have never lost traction in my fusion in the winter . With The engine weight up front and battery weight (ni cd) in the back, It’s been a dream in the snow
  4. yep i agree the car is so quiet in EV mode that you can hear the gas sloshing around in the tank especially right after a fresh fill up
  5. my only guess is you were using the engine at speeds 70 and over as long as i stay in the 65 mph range i stay close to 40 mpg and if im under 45mpg its 44-47 mgp. havent gotten the dreaded brake warning light yet i hope i dont. but i am not a hard on the brake or gas pedal
  6. my 11' FFH is at 117 thousand had no issues i just recently started driving out of town for work and have noticed the mileage dropping since im spending more time in the interstate but other than that she is running great
  7. stick with the hybrid it still has power to get you to speed but when you are cruising at the speed (45 or lower) you will get the ev mode to kick in. just become friends with your cruise control
  8. there are so many factors that will influence your mpg.... your driving habits, terrain, weather. other drivers.... with me living in Indiana i notice a significant mpg drop when winter hits. i have talking to a few gas attendants about that. and i found out something that caught my attention. but gas companies will change the composition of that gas to make sure it still functions properly in such cold weather. so if you live in any multi-climate areas, the blend of gas you use in the winter will be different from the blend of gas in the dead of summer. so no matter how light of a foot you have. sometimes its just out of your control i average close to 42 in summer and 35 in winter
  9. i feel lolder is right. i have the '11 hhf with nav and it is all the same. because fusions have a digital temp gauge, means that you have to stay within the parameters of the climate zone (which is 60-90 degrees) and believe me it took me a minute to figure out the settings for none ac fresh air vent. i was a little disturbed at first because every analogue hvac system in earlier cars this was quite easy to accomplish. but after some playing around i was able to figure it out. and as carnivore stated, cracking the windows a bit wouldn't hurt haha
  10. As lolder points out, you're confusing speed sensitive volume control with active noise cancellation. The two have nothing to do with each other. The former just raises and lowers the audio volume as vehicles speed changes. Active noise cancellation (or active noise control) is a separate system that produces sound waves that counteract unwanted sound waves. More information thanks for clearing that up. i had no idea of that tech.
  11. thank you guys. yea when i see a old junker pickup truck i make sure to hit that re-circulation button. i have heard of people with certain allergy that were able to find higher end filters, so im definitely going to look into that.
  12. i know on the 2011 ffh there is an option to turn off the sensors so they wont beep constantly, it just thinks your about to hit something. on a more related note, i have recently found a youtube video with instructions on installing a tow mount... i do want to get one in the near future, i would like to tow a jetski
  13. active sound control only works when you are using the radio, or any media device that produces sound. it will make the sound slightly louder as you drive faster.... if you are not listening to music, there is no sound to increase as you speed up.
  14. most definitely it does, i do it many times with my '11 ffh. it will just sit there like the car is off and when the hybrid battery gets low the engine will just turn on for about a 30-45 second run and then usually it will stay in ev mode for close to 4 or 5 min
  15. i have even noticed that when a front tire gets flat i feel a slight pull to the flat side in the steering. even with certain roads that have a grade to allow water run off i tend to feel a pull in that direction. i feel the steering is rather touchy and i like it that way
  16. so the '11 fusion hybrid claims that they have a lifetime cabin airfilter. but any time i drive behind a clunker i instantly get the smell of exhaust and it is terrible for me. is there any way i can install a better cabin filter. and also i guess i have the same question about the engine air filter. thanks
  17. very nice bruce, im not near enough in your kind of numbers, but i plan on owning my current fusion for a while. so far 46,000 and she is an '11. i hope my hybrid will make it the distance.
  18. thank you i hope i can both help out and learn a few things about the fusion and fusion community.. my first question is about the air filters, where would be the best place to discuss this?
