  1. Changed out my 2013 Ford OEM rear shocks yesterday with 32500 miles on them. In the attached Pics, the top one is the one that "dumped" the oil. The other was fine, but would not have been for long. Note the rust & peeling chrome on the two rams in exactly the same places. This is caused by a design flaw in my opinion. There is a 6inch dust shield made of a rubberized type material that covers the ram and top portion of the shock body. Problem is the hole thru this shield where the ram goes thru is not much bigger than the ram itself, and sand, grit, & salt accumulates on top & had no way to get out. Probably not a problem in the Southern states, but up here in Canada, this is designed to fail. Wonder how many of these rear shocks have been changed out for this exact same reason.
  2. My 2013 has 32500 miles on it & the LR shock puked all the oil out on my carport floor last week. Going to change them both out this week with a set of Monroe OESpectrums. Seems Ford OE Rear shocks have a history of premature leaking. I'll let you know how it goes.
  3. Didn't notice any float, but these are Blizzak snow tires that I put on just for the winter last Oct.2014. Haven't seen any snow since. Great in the B.C. rain though.
  4. Keep the lugnuts & get a new mechanic. Just make sure you tighten the lugnuts in a star pattern & retorgue them [100 ft lbs] after a 100km & again after a month or so. I went from the stock 18" alloy to 16" steelies last winter & had no problem.
  5. Bonus! You don't have to press the OK button 3 or 4 times a day. Just check the pressure with a guage once a week. Other option is to flop the rear seat down flat and pack all 4 of your TPMS equipped tires around in the back for the winter. :happy feet:
  6. I got one for the for the Door Latches...... Safety Recall 15S16 but no parts yet. One for the Restraints Control Module..... Safety Recall 14S21 and no parts yet. What is the 3rd one?
  7. Hermans, Do you or anyone else, happen to know what the TSB # is for this? My dealer says they know nothing about it & just pushed it back in & declared it fixed. Popped out again 2 days later.
  8. Got an email from my local Canadian Ford Dealer re: Your Vehicle is Due for Service. I replied that "it was just done 8000km ago." This is the reply I got. "To be valid within your warranty, Ford Canada does specify you service within 12,000km or once within a 12 month period. I understand there are some vehicles that have the 16,000km guideline in their manuals, so if this is where you are getting your number from you are fine to go by that number." Anyone else heard of this?

    Top Tier Gasoline

Just want to mention though that Costco gas in the US is rated as Top Tier, but is not in Canada.
  10. I'd love to be getting 7L/100km nevermind 6. I have to really try just to get 9.5L/100km combined city & hwy. Best I ever got was 7.48L/100km & that was 95% Hwy. What grade & type of fuel are you running? Have you calculated your L's/100k manually?

  12. No reason the Battery should be dead after a couple of weeks on a 2013 Fusion. Take it to the dealer and get it checked out.
  13. OP: Check with 'sah' on this Forum. He has had disabled, or tried to, just about every option/feature on his Fusion. If it can be done he'll know.
  14. Found out it does turn the Headlights off from the On position after 10 mins, but NOT the park, tail, & marker lights from the Park position on the switch, which I found weird.
  15. Got my recall notice in the mail today. Parts available 3rd quarter of 2015.
  16. Yeah, I have the exact same problem. Let me know how you make out.
  17. Same here with 93 octane better acceleration & smoother shifts, plus marginal mileage improvement, but not enough to justify the 20cents per Litre price difference.
  18. AKirby, Not wanting to run it dry. Just wanting to know where dry is. That 1.6 gals is just over 6 litres, so I should be good for a conservative 60 km or 37 Miles. Where did you get the 1.6 gals. from? tnx.
  19. Anyone ever recorded the # of Miles/Kilometers they have gone, before fueling, after DTE reads 0. Year: Model: Engine: Miles past 0 DTE: Kilometers past 0 DTE:
  20. Might be a bit of a stretch, but does anyone know if b2b warranty covers the key fob? Battery cover won't stay on.
  21. My 2013 Fusion changes the screen as you described also, but only when in S drive and I use either of the paddle shifters.
