  1. Dielectric grease, or tune-up grease, is a silicone-based grease that repels moisture and protects electrical connections against corrosion. ... The grease does not conduct electricity, so it shouldn't be applied directly to the mating surfaces (pins and sockets) of an electrical connection.

  2. These years are known to have wiper bugs. Mine used to turn on while driving when not touching anything. Also they use to stay on when in intermittent mode. Take your battery terminals off and clean them. I also run a extra ground wire from the negative to the body or fender. Seems if i drive it everyday, it does not have these bugs, so i am guessing it is voltage related.

  3. If the light came on when it was cold outside, you are low on air pressure. That being said, my 2012 i have snows with sensors and once i trained them to the car, i do not have to retrain once i put the summer tires back on. So i guess it does remember 2 sets of sensors.

  4. Well, to quote you, the width is not the same. 55 series is narrower than a 50 series. 1/2 inch taller is nothing. How do you know your speedometer of off 3%? Once you put a different size tire than is recommended from the manufacturer you are asking for trouble. From both a handling point and insurance point. Just put the correct size tire on there and forget about it, it is not 1960 anymore. 3% is less than 2miles per hour on your speedometer at 65. Maybe your tires are bald.

  5. Went to the local Napa and i wanted 2 -10 packs to change them all today, they didn't have them. I started to take it apart to measure the length. Correct part, for my 2012 is Dorman 610-468 length of 1.72" or listed as 43.6mm. Ordered from Amazon and paid for fast shipping. Oh well. Project for early next week and i can drive the Mustang to work for a few days.

The original recall was for 2010-2011, mine is one of the last ones of this body style built in June of 2012. Factory alloys, but i bought aftermarket steel rims from Tirerack for the snows. I don't really see how steel rims cause a problem and alloys don't. Even only one broke i am changing them all. I was using a 4way wrench with only my hands when it snapped trying to take it off.
