  1. We have had the issue where the battery is completely dead and we can't get any lights or anything. I tried jump starting it from my Camry both times and it doesn't work. Luckily we still have roadside assistance since it's under warranty and they come out with a portable jumper and that starts it up immediately. I have jumped my Camry from the Fusion before no problem. Is there a reason the Fusion won't get a jump start from just normal jumper cables? This same thing happened in February. She had been getting a low battery indicator last week when she would start it up and then over the weekend it wouldn't sat at home since we were gone from Saturday to Sunday. She went to leave for work Monday morning and the car was dead. We have had problems where we turn the key to start the car in the past and the car doesn't do anything for a second or two delay before the car turns over. Could these be related? We are being told by the dealer that the reason the car is dying is because my wife is leaving a phone charger in the cigarette lighter(without the phone on it). Can this really be causing the battery to drain to dead? My Camry doesn't have any problem with this because the charger doesn't get a charge when the car is off. Of course when the car gets to the dealership is working fine and they don't have any of these issues. Even if she does get the low battery signal during the week, isn't it supposed to recharge while she is driving? Sorry for all of the questions but this is starting to really make me angry and this is not the only issue we have had with the 13 fusion. Windshield wipers were running randomly, car overheated while in below freezing temperatures because of a sensor but the dealership couldn't get it to happen again after it was towed in, multiple recalls. That's all in the 2 years we have owned the car. I think it might be time to lease a truck. Thanks for any insight you may have.
  2. So last Monday(1/27/14) we had our 2013 Fusion in for warranty work because the check engine light came on. They found out that it was a "coolant sensor" and replaced it. This Saturday we drove to a town about an hour and a half away. About half the way back, the engine overheating announcement came up and the car started chugging along. So I pulled it to the shoulder on the highway and we had it towed to the Ford dealership nearby. They couldn't find the error code that happened that night. They drove it themselves for over an hour hoping that it would happen again. Never happened and they couldn't figure it out. They recalibrated it and did a master reset. So they call me to tell me I can have it back. Has anyone had this sort of an issue? I'm kind of nervous to drive it too far from home now. On a side note, do the 2013 Fusion trunks open all of the way when you pop them or do they just unlock? Ours just unlocks and makes us lift it up.
  3. Hi, I was wondering if anyone has ever dealt with ordering a car and then not been able to purchase it because you were laid off between ordering it and receiving it. Are you able to say that you don't want the car anymore? I know that the dealer can sell it to someone else if they really want to so why wouldn't I be able to say that I don't want it anymore?
  4. On my previous car which was a 00 grand am, I hardwired it into the windshield wiper fuse and never had any electrical problems.
  5. Hi, I ordered a '10 Fusion SE and was wondering if they come with DRL's on already and if they don't how do I get them to work. I see a dealer can do it in 5 minutes and that other people had posted about this but I am not finding anything. Can you point me in the right direction? Thanks
  6. I would guess that you would have to take the dash apart to do that.
  7. The Ford Fusion/Fusion Hybrid have been nominated for the 2010 North American Car of the Year. I'm not sure if it's just the hybrid or not though. http://blogs.thecarconnection.com/marty-bl...he-nominees-are
  8. What is the number that you call? I just got my VIN number.
  9. OK, thank you. My dealer told me that he hadn't gotten the VIN yet so I was wondering about that since it was ordered on Sept. 17th and you got yours pretty quickly. It is just such a long time to wait for such a big purchase.
  10. I ordered my 2010 Fusion SE 4 cyl on Sept. 17th. They said it would take 6-10 weeks for delivery. Is there a way to track what stage my car is in or an ETA?
  11. How much did it cost for you guys to get tinted?
