Shift flair happened a few weeks ago so I contacted Ford corporate and coincidentally there was ANOTHER TSB just released 11-12-08. Took the car in AGAIN for the update (this would be the 3rd time they said they had the fix) and sat once again for about a half hour to have them come out and say "their tools won't allow the update to happen." Something about the software in their handheld computers aren't up to date and may not be until March. So Ford releases a "fix" but nobody can perform it. WTF!! I called the dealer Wednesday and have received no response and email corporate this morning who usually responds back very quick and 5 hours later no response. This is freaking rediculous!!!

Well, you guys are going to love this. I've been speaking with Ford corporate who informed me of the 11-11-23 TSB. When I went to get it fixed (which the TSB describes exactly what is happening) the dealer says I already have the latest software and there is nothing they can do. Apparently my car got the update last December (2010) and they never said they updated it at the dealer. The most recent fix is after 2 months of waiting from the time Ford said they have a fix coming to when the TSB was released...just to say to follow a TSB that came out last year. Honestly I am going to be trading this piece of garbage in before a real fix comes. Does anybody know how to reset the KAM on this unit without going to a dealer. I tried disconnecting the battery, removing fuses, etc. but it runs the same. Now that it's cold it runs worse. Seems like dealers only know how to fix problems if its a TSB these days. They won't even attempt to diagnose it without somebody from Ford corporate saying how to fix it. I hope someone out there is having better luck than I am. I've started fighting this since 7K miles and I now have almost 30K.

TSB 11-11-23 just released today. I don't believe this is for everyone but if your car shows signs of the slipping problem this "may" fix it.

I don't have a name of who i spoke with but I started by emailing Ford thru their website. I got an email the next day and they said sorry but you need to keep driving until you can recreate the problem. I then replied saying that was BS and that I've been dealing with this issue for over a year and I want it fixed. Then someone responded saying they passed my issue along to the "customer care solutions team" in which they called me personally to discuss the problem. I have the slipping between 2nd and 3rd gears issue many others are along with other problems but that's when he said Ford has admitted there is a software problem and it's almost complete ready to be sent out to dealers. They wanted to know which dealers I worked with and that I got multiple opinions about my problem. They then said they would personally call me when it's ready. Sorry but that's all I have at this time. When I have more I will definately let everyone on here know. I'm interested to see if they make a public recall or if it's just for people calling in to complain.

To all that are dealing with the transmission issues with the 6f35 model (slipping, shaking, hard shifts, etc.)...I complained to Ford corporate and got a call today saying Engineers have admitted there is a software issue and telling the car when to shift. It's mainly between 2nd and 3rd and there should be a fix coming "early next quarter" which would be October or so. If you are experiencing these issues like me just hold on for a little bit more and hopefully this will fix it. They aren't doing anything with checking for existing damage unless your car shown signs of shifting issues after the fix is done which as you all know is easier said than done. Good luck to all!

27.7 mpg here! It seems the best at around 60-65 mph. I use cruise a lot but when I don't I have a tendency to let it coast for a while and just tap the gas when needed to give it a boost. It's usually better in the late summer too.

I have a 2010 Fusion SEL V6 3.0 Flex Fuel and when I accelerate and go thru the second gear stage it revs up to about 2200, drops about 200 RPM to 2000 and then finishes the acceleration process. I think the dealer said it was the torque converter "kicking in" or something. Anyone else have this or know what it is?

2010 3.0 SEL with select shift 18000 miles Don't buy!!! I've had everything from a violent shake between gears, gear slipping, and a random drop of 200 rpms at 2200 which the dealer says is normal. I'm looking into a Sonata, accord, anything but this...or a fusion hybrid since it's a different tranny. Love the concept and style of the car but hate the tranny.

I have a 2010 Black SEL and was wondering if the splash guards help at all with side body spray from water. Now that it's winter up by Lake Michigan my car stays clean for about an 5 minutes so I didn't know if anyone out there can let me know if it's worth the money for at least front guards.

My AC turns on automatically (more when it's warm out). It hasn't happened much since it's gotten to be winter.
