caved in a bought a new car. Ford Fusion's reviews/specs caught my eye, and I was pleasantly surprised on how good it looked inside when I picked her up. included a picture from Halloween 2010 time frame (I picked her up in Oct)

pardon the reply more then a year later...subject is still relevant. I'm in Germany, and in a 1/2 to a foot of snow, with all season tires (with the M+S/Mud and Snow stamp on the side wall) the 2010 Fusion handles beautifully. the front wheel drive will pull you out of the snow (unless its performing well, you can take off the auto traction control to dig you out of a deeper stick) the traction control works well in almost all slick areas I've been on. only the deeper drifts do i turn off the stability control. whenever you make a stop, say to park or take a rest form the road, be sure to knock out the accumulated snow from the wheel wells. this will prevent the road slush from freezing as fast....otherwise it can suck, lol. example pic from a mid day wipe down of my fusion... usually have to wipe her off 2-3 times a day when it snows ^_^ I'm not complaining!
