I had the same issue with my 06 I4 Fusion. Took it back to the dealer and explained it exactly as you did. I was told they upgraded the computer software or tweaked some settings, but anyway I no longer have the issue. Take it to your dealer and see what they say.

Thanks for the assistance!! I took the vehicle to the dealer and I was told they upgraded the computer or changed some settings with it. Anyway, what they did worked and no longer have the problem. Just FYI

In the morning or after the car has been sitting for awhile the transmission will jerk when shifting from 1st to 2nd gear. It seems as though it is pausing and continues to rev before the shift. This is the only time it will happen and will be smooth coasting the rest of the day. Is anyone else having similar issues or know a fix for this? FYI it is a 06 I4 Fusion. Thanks for the assistance
