  1. The only problem I've had with the 2010 SEL is that too many people stare at it... I don't like the extra attention I get.... Other than that, it has been a great car.
  2. There's two LEDs on the rear of the center console. Each points to the foot area for the rear passengers... On left side, one right side. Both cup holders light up completely, not a single section of them is off or dim. As for the front foot wells, there is two LEDs... One on the driver side an one on the passenger. Also, on the front section of the centre console, the section where the cigarette lighter is, lights up as well.... Oh and the inside area of the centre console where the USB and the input jack are, that lights up by another LED. Hope this helps ya. All is nice and bright at night, kinda dim in the day.
  3. Those fuses are empty on 2010 SEL... And the PCM has a built in back up battery now, so resetting it isn't as simple as unplugging the power to it. It takes days for the back up battery to run out.... So with that's said, does anyone know the actual method that works???
  4. Hi guys. 2010 Fusion SEL AWD owner here. My car came equipped with the DRL on the low beam and also the light detection that makes the lights go on as soon as it gets a little dark. I have just installed an HID system for my low beam. It went smooth as butter. (I never realized what a PITA these cars are to get into the low beam area...specially the right side of the car. Glad mine is only the 3.0L and not the bigger engines.) As I was saying, the install went smoothly. I tested everything multiple times as I was going along to make sure it still was working and that I didn't miss something and have to tear the wheelwell apart again. I had no flickering with the DRLs (purchased a recommended harness for each low beam), everthing great!!! The only thing I over looked testing was (stupid me) turning the headlight switch to the automatic headlight position. Of course, I went for a drive and I noticed that although the headlights were on automatic selection, they remained on... Even thought it was bright and sunny outside. After about 20 minutes of driving the autolights finally shut off. Well not only did they shut off but also the DRLs were off and the middle console from the stereo down shot off as well. When I got to my destination I noticed that the light switch selector had no effect in turning on the head lights and the middle console wouldn't light up either (it actually light up a a super mega dimmed level that you couldn't tell it was on but if you looked close you can tell the difference as the light switch is moved from on to off, but it is almost not noticeable) and the instrument panel wouldn't dim as it normally does when you turn on the head light. I was chocked because my first thought was "I fried the junction box"... What ever it's called. Anyway, I had left the headlights on the OFF position just to see and hope to god they would light up next time I turn the car on. Once I was ready to go home, I turned on my car and turned ON my headlights and voila! They worked again, tail lights, middle console, low beam, and even the instrument panel dimmed as it should when the headlights go on. I was happy as a Sailor on leave, but when I got home I was curious what happened.... SO I shut off my car and put the headlight selector to the Autolamp selection again. Turned the car on, everything worked as it should, went for a drive and came back 5 minutes later and let the car run another 15 in neutral and with the e-break not in use to make sure it was as if I was driving still. Nothing happened. There was no more issues with the lights. It's only been a day since I installed them though. No issues today. I'm curious if anyone else has gone through this? I remain worried about leaving the headlights on the AUTOLAMP position, but I really love that feature so I don't have to think about if my lights are on or not... Is there a way to test the junction box so to make sure I'm not killing it by using the autolamp selection??? Any experts in here that can help figure out what happened? Thank you guys, I'll post pics of the car soon.
