  1. I would first take it to a glass shop. A pro repair may not be that expensive. If you just want to replace the glass larger auto stores will have precut mirrors. Use a heat gun to heat the old glass and get it off the backing plate. Or check with wrecking yards in the area an see if they have a mirror assembly in your body color, to replace the whole assembly will require removing the doors interior panels.
  2. Gullwings. Gullwings will always be cool.
  3. Trunk liner will pull away (pull from the top) and you will see the access panel. The liner is just "slipped in" not bolted or screwed in.
  4. 205/60-16 is the stock size on the first generation SE. You should be able to switch between that and 225/50-17 without any worries about the computer etc. The narrower tire will give better traction in the snow and rain, that's what you want for a winter tire isn't it?
  5. I have a 06 that now has the tail lights tinted over with red. I hated all the boy racer chrome on the brake lights ( and can't believe there's no after market non-chrome replacements). I'll post some pictures tomorrow,
  6. Fluke. The only thing the headlights and brakelights have in common is the power source. Different fuses, control modules, relays, etc. If it worries you have the charging system checked and ensure it's at the correct voltage. But if the voltage was too high or too low you would be seeing far more problems.
  7. 2006. 98000kms now. Got it June 1st with 90000kms.
  8. What I would do: Find a tow truck driver when he's not busy, and offer to buy him a beer (cold drink, whatever) if he would show you how he would hook it up.
  9. Choice #1: Gut a interior from a wrecking yard that suits you. Install it yourself (labor would cost too much to have someone else do it). The carpet may not transfer will, but you can normally buy replacement carpets. I would guess that a full interior (dash, door panels, console, and armrest would be the most expensive parts) would cost AT LEAST $1,000 from a wrecker. There is almost always going to be squeaks and rattles after a complete interior overhaul. Choice #2: Buy another car. Choice #3: Live with it. Try seat covers, dash covers, painting the plastics, new floor mats. Keep in mind that a black (or any dark) interior is going to attract a lot of heat from the sun. Seeing as your in NM the windows would have to be tinted very dark to counter the effects of the dark interior. Go with choices 2 or 3.
  10. Get rid of the winch and put a plow on the jeep.
  11. one of the turn signal bulbs (front or rear) is out. Standard in any car now. Fast blink-bulb out. Turn on the hazard (4-ways) lights and walk around the car. Couple of bucks for a new bulb and a couple of minutes with a screwdriver to fix.
  12. 1st - Check the dimmer control for the dash, you may have everything dimmed to off. 2nd - Check all the fuses. 3rd - I'm out of ideas, see the dealer.
  13. Fog lights would have been nice. But not really needed. Auto lights would have been nice. But not really needed. 17" rims would have been nice. And will be added later. Nothing else on the SEL package strikes me as nice or needed.
