The only tihing that concerns me is the transmission, I have noticed that if you accelerate rapidly and then take your foot off the gas, it occasionally makes a very unhealthy sound. Not sure I trust it. My son's 2007 Fusion is running great at 125k, but it's a V6. Seems like I heard there was something funky with the transmission on the 4 cylinder. One repair would make this purchase worthwhile, so I will probably bite the bullet and buy it.

I have a 2011 Fusion SEL 4 cylinder, approaching 36K and getting antsy about having no bumper to bumper warranty after that. What do you all recommend? Do I need one? (didn't with my Honda Civic but did with our Mercury Villager and Chevy Lumina)

Well, when all else fails read the manual. The sync menus can be exhausting, but once I got it set on surround sound and a few other settings tweaked, it also rocks. But I would say both cars are equal as far as sound quality. He has the speakers in the windows as well...

I bought a 2011 Fusion SEL last fall with the Moon and Tune package...was a little underwhelmed by the stereo quality but thought "oh, well." Just picked up a used 2007 Fusion SE for my son that comes with the 6 CD changer and that thing ROCKS. Did I get a lemon or have others noticed the difference as well?
