  1. Ford told the dealer to get 2 new keys and program them. The dealer did that and now they are getting a bad Smart Junction Box. Ford is telling them that once they replace that there could be another underlying issue as well. Not sure if it's worth replacing that box if everything is working but the panic alarm. Can anyone tell me what might happen if I don't replace the Smart Junction Box and just leave it like it is? I just don't have the money to replace this part right now and especially if there might be more wrong with it after they fix that.
  2. So are you telling me that there might actually be nothing wrong with my key fob and the dealer just messed it up since now it doesn't even unlock the car or anything? They still have the car and are still saying they have no clue what is wrong with it and can't find anything wrong. Something is draining the battery and causing the panic alarm not to work. I am just so frustrated. The next Ford Dealer is almost 100 miles away from me.
  3. Have similar issue and have held the panic button down for several seconds without anything. On Thursday I drove my car to work and when I came out to go home the car wouldn't start it just did some clicking noises and all the dash lights were flashing. So I had it towed home. Once I got it home I was able to start it with the copy key (key without built in locks, panic alarm, trunk release). Went back out the next day and it wouldn't start again with either key. Got a new battery thinking that was the issue, but there was arching. Went ahead and changed the battery and the old battery test fine. Now the check engine light is on and the panic alarm doesn't work on the copy key remote and it did before this happened on Thursday. Took the car to a Ford dealership yesterday and they said it was the throttle body. I said the throttle body will not cause the car not to start. The key with the integrated locks wouldn't reprogram, so they cut a new key and got the security alarm reset, but the panic alarm still doesn't work. They tried a new remote and the panic alarm didn't work on it either. Dealer is telling me they have no clue. Anyone have any ideas? I am at a loss right now as to what to do, let the dealer keep poking around or take it somewhere else.
