Have similar issue and have held the panic button down for several seconds without anything. On Thursday I drove my car to work and when I came out to go home the car wouldn't start it just did some clicking noises and all the dash lights were flashing. So I had it towed home. Once I got it home I was able to start it with the copy key (key without built in locks, panic alarm, trunk release). Went back out the next day and it wouldn't start again with either key. Got a new battery thinking that was the issue, but there was arching. Went ahead and changed the battery and the old battery test fine. Now the check engine light is on and the panic alarm doesn't work on the copy key remote and it did before this happened on Thursday. Took the car to a Ford dealership yesterday and they said it was the throttle body. I said the throttle body will not cause the car not to start. The key with the integrated locks wouldn't reprogram, so they cut a new key and got the security alarm reset, but the panic alarm still doesn't work. They tried a new remote and the panic alarm didn't work on it either. Dealer is telling me they have no clue. Anyone have any ideas? I am at a loss right now as to what to do, let the dealer keep poking around or take it somewhere else.
