  1. I am glad you got your car back mine is STILL in this shop! I called them yesterday and they could still not give me a timetable on when we will get the wiring harness installed....Keep my updated on if your car is "cured"
  2. Yeah my fusion is still at the dealer, they have had it for over 3 weeks now!! Thanks goodness it is a company car so we are not paying for the rental! I will call the dealer tomorrow to see if they have gotten the part yet. It was on backorder as well. I would not be surprised if this is happening to more of the Fusion Hybrids after a certain amount of miles.....
  3. Yes that is what happened to me, glad you got it on video I did not think or have time to do that! My car is still as the dealer has been there over a week. They say it needs a new wiring harness and that it is on backorder... We will see they still have not been able to explain why it happened yet..
  4. Update: Car is still at the dealer and will be until monday...
  5. I would have agreed with the 12volt battery hypothesis if my car would not have been able to start back up, which it did and then drove normally. When I lost the power I should have stated it was just the engine power similiar to if the fuel just shut off. The warning message was on as well as all of the electronics (radio/lights etc.) worked which leads me to believe it is not the 12 volt battery. I wish it was that simple though....
  6. Good morning all, I just wanted to let you know my experience with my Ford Fusion Hybrid. It currently has about 45,000 miles on it. For the most part, I have enjoyed driving the car up until yesterday! Here is what happened: I was driving home with my wife and two kids when the car just shut off, I got a message to pull over safely now which fortunately I was able to do, since I was on a back road. I could not believe what just happened, no warning and a total loss off all engine power! Fortunately I was able to restart the car and continue home. I thought it might be some kind of fluke since we have had the check engine light come on in the past: I would guess 4 times in the last 3 months, each time I took it in to the dealer and they said it needed to be reprogrammed and did the necessary reprogramming.... Today I called the dealer yet again and they will look at it on Thursday, I then called my wife who is driving the car today and as I was talking to her on the phone the car shut off again!!! This time she was on the highway and had to pull all the way over to the median. Again she was able to restart the car and drive off. My question is this has anyone else heard of this problem or experienced this?? I was able to only find one other post where this happened to someone. I am honestly second guessing whether we should keep this car even with the 37 mpg we have been getting. Any advise would be appreciated! -Brian
