I went through my radio menu and the numbers 6E5T-18C8-15AL came up which I'm guessing are a model number of some sort. If I were to go with an aftermarket unit would I lose the functionality of the buttons (Volume +-, Media, etc) on my steering wheel?

Hi all, I'm sorry if this topic has been beaten to death already, but I want to add an aux input to my 2007 Fusion SE. When I hit the Aux button I get a "No Aux Audio" and there is no jack in the center console. My question is which would be the better route: to put a new radio in or to add the functionality to the stock radio? I was thinking maybe adding to the stock radio but I'm not sure how to go about doing that while keeping it looking as close to factory as possible or how easy it would be. Any advice would be appreciated.
