  1. Not sure if I posted this in the write place, but I need some opinions. This is my first car purchase and I wanted to get some other opinions. So I recently ordered a 2013 FF SE with a 2.0L engine (since dealers seem to never have this on their lot, or atleast in MD) at the end of Nov and I was told that it will arrive anywhere between 6-8 weeks. I found out today however that the FF I ordered will be go into production the week of Jan 17th, and that the car will hit their lot 3 weeks after, which is another month of waiting. Their reason being that supplier issues delayed the production. I'm assuming the recall contributed or is the source of the issue. This wouldn't be an issue as I am already getting a good deal for the vehicle (invoice cost, including tax, title, fee) due to a system error that cost me 6 hours of my day when originally trying to purchase a FF, except for the fact that I am now without a car. I have already given them a check for $500 for freight (although they did not cash it) and so now I am trying to figure out what to do regarding how to approach this with the dealer. I checked their inventory and they have no other FF model with the options that I want, or that is within my budget. I feel I am left with the following options, and wanted to get some second opinions on some of the veteran car buyers, or anyone who has any suggestions/input. Keep with the FF I ordered and deal with the wait, and possibly get more bang for my buck? Go for another Ford on the lot from the same dealership, like a Focus ST, and try to have them honor their original deal (invoice cost including T.T.F.) Try to find another 13 FF another dealer and try to have them match the deal or come close. (Not sure if this will be possible though. If so, how?) Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Have I been too patient with these guys or are these delays not uncommon? Thanks,
