  1. ahhh! so this is the problem! I got a flip key from ebay, and was able to program the remote part of it (8 cycles in 10 seconds, no problem) but I can't seem to get the key to start the car. Apparently, one of my keys is a clone. Thanks for the info
  2. So, I've been reading the forum and want to do LED's throughout my new (to me) 2012 FFH. I got my 7443 taillights and switchbacks for the front signals from diode dynamics, recommended here. My problem is that the taillights they sent won't fit. It appears that the LED's won't go in far enough to catch the clip that holds the bulb in, (the stock bulb fits flush with the bottom of the glass touching the plastic, the LED has a shoulder on it preventing this) OR, the wedge that catches the clip on the LED isn't tall enough to engage. Nick at diode dynamics has been great in trying to solve the problem but as of now these things are useless. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this issue. I ordered some China bulbs from ebay for $15, i'm gonna see if these fit and maybe do a write up comparing the two. Also, how much dismantling of the front end do I have to do to install the switchbacks in the front? Thanks!
  3. I have a 2012 FFH with only 11,000 miles on it, had one go out, they're brown too. I think because the bulbs sit almost flush with the socket and the bottom of the glass is touching the plastic and the heat discolors it.
  4. Hello everyone, I've been browsing this forum for weeks now, great info. I currently have an 09 Milan Premier and love it, it's been a great car. Now I'm looking into upgrading to a 2012 Fusion Hybrid, can't wait. Great info on that car here as well. Added my 2 cents to a couple things I saw. Will be visiting often and giving a shout out where I can help. Thanks, again great forum. Wally
  5. I saw this 2x, while browsing the forum, sounds like a common problem, figure I'll chime in: I've had this one before on my 09 Milan, The problem is in your "smart seat"! My owner's manual actually states to check for debris under the passenger seat if the airbag light is on, which I did and yippee, the light went out. It has happened a couple other times before, usually after someone moved the seat or I folded it flat. All I did is slide the seat back and forth and jiggle the wires underneath and then no more light on the next ignition cycle. Probably a loose connection, I'll need to investigate further if the problem persists.
