  1. I've been driving with the defroster on most of the time since I bought the car. Does the front defrost automatically turn on if I have the window fan option selected? (Where it gives the option of window, vent, and floor and all 3 can be selectied)
  2. The tire pressure was 2 psi off from recommended, and I have an automatic transmission. My friend drives very similar roads, and has the same transmission. These roads are on flat agricultural areas with occasional small hills. All two lane highway. Traffic isn't too heavy, and there are a couple of small towns we have to slow down in without a stop light. I would assume that my scenario is one of the best mpg situations out there. My old 94 escort manual would get 41 in those conditions
  3. I haven't checked my tire pressures, but assumed that the dealer did when I took it in for an oil change. I will do that. I've been using E-10 gasoline, and run about 61mph on the highway. Do you think the best fuel economy results from running tire psi at recommended pressure, or by using the old school method of 5psi under max load?
  4. I bought a 2014 Fusion about 3 months ago with the 2.5 Liter 4 cylinder. The best fuel economy I have been able to get is 30.5mpg (tank checked). It seems like I'm getting a pretty consistent 29mpg. I absolutely love the car, but I'm a little upset that its not living up to its 34mpg rating. I have about 5000 miles on the car and did my first oil change at 4000 miles hoping it would help. What is everyone else getting for fuel economy with their 2.5? I drive about 95% highway on each tank. I have a friend who bought a 2013 Fusion with a 2.5 and he gets 38mpg on the highway. I was banking on the same results!
