  1. It isn't that I wasn't open to purchasing a seperate RWD car, but I was looking for options before looking for a car to buy.
  2. Would it be possible to switch the entire drivetrain from a Mustang (or other similar length RWD vehicle - just assumed the Ford RWD would be the easiest) onto a Fusion without having to rig it to work in some significant way? Again, it should be of note - I'm wanting to do this on the FWD Fusion, not the AWD - but it seems they aren't too dissimilar.
  3. Interested if anyone has tried to do a RWD conversion on their Ford Fusion. Interested in doing it on a FWD, but I assume it would be more common/easier on a AWD. I've seen some ridiculous mods for Fusions so far with Super/Twin Charging, ITBs, and other fun things, but the one I'm most interested in performing myself seems to have not been attempted yet. If I have to break ground myself and sacrifice my Fusion for the greater good of all Fusions than I shall do so - but it would be great to see if anyone has tried or seen someone else attempt this. Thanks, Chrom Edit: This could also apply to the Powertrain section of the forum, and if it should be then I apologize, but this is the only section of the forums labeled as Modifications
  4. So before I switched to my Fusion (for practical family raising purposes) I was driving my heavily modded 2011 Lancer GTS (which we can go off on a long fun discussion about sometime) but compared to the CAI I put into it (Injen) the CAI that everyone recommends for the Fusion is the Steeda. My question being this - why is Steeda the one that everyone desires? Comparatively if I purchased an Injen CAI for the Fusion as well I would have their custom tuned aluminum intake - and again, it could be me looking at it incorrectly - but the Steeda CAI uses the factory piping. I still have my Injen pod filter (I couldn't find anyone locally that desired a non-turbo Lancer FWD with ~400hp, or the funds to purchase one so I turned her stock and traded her in) if I attach the pod to the factory piping I am getting the same effect. In that case I would only be purchasing the Steeda tune. Just looking for some clarification, any information would be great. Cheers!
  5. Found it - on his model it is on the fuse box above the wiring on it. Very difficult to read, but it worked. Thanks.
  6. With this post in mind a friend of mine also has a 2012 Fusion and doesn't have his owner's card. Being low on cash at the moment he tried this same technique to find that those two pages are not relevant for that year, and after digging through my own manual I cannot seem to find the code inside of it. Is it possible to get the code through means other than the dealership on the 2012 model? (Side note: our local Ford dealerships charge $30+ to find the code for you)
  7. Provided you bought the car new, or the previous owner was kind enough to leave it in your car, in the glovebox you'll have a white card about the size of a credit card with your code on it. My dealership put it inside the sleeve the manuals are stored it.
