  1. Posting this in-case it can help someone else... After taking my car in five times for this issue, the dealer appears to have fixed it! The following is what it says on my service invoice: SOP SPECIAL ORDER PART 154 WP 1 BM5Z*8592*B THERMOSTAT ASY It's been over a month and the level in the overflow reservoir is staying at max.
  2. Hi Crystal, are you still there? It is now December... My 2013 Fusion continues to loose about an inch of coolant from the reservoir per month. It has been back to the dealer twice since this original post...both times, the dealer "pressure tested" the system...they admit that they can't find anything wrong. Is there any known cause of this issue? So far, I have taken the car in four times for this issue with no resolution. Do you have any suggestions or is the next step to explore California's Lemon Law? Regards
  3. Hi Crystal, Just over 20K miles.
  4. I own a 2013 Ford Escape and a 2013 Ford Fusion; both with the 1.6 Ecoboost engine. There was a recall for the Escape which involved the cooling system. There never has been a recall for the Fusion even though is has the same engine. The reason for this post is that for the past month my Fusion has started loosing fluid in the overflow reservoir; it looses about 1/4 inch of fluid level per day. I took it to my dealer a week ago and they replaced the water pump; and according to them, problem solved. I have continued to monitor the reservoir level for the past week and it still continues to drop 1/4 to 1/2 inch per day. I took it back to the dealer and they can't find anything wrong. They state that: "it is an air bubble in the cooling system that needs to work its way out". Does anyone know what the real cause of this problem is? How do I get my dealer to fix a problem that they can't find?
