That's what I had originally thought, but when it indexes my zune it says "indexing" and has the lines That move across the screen, but this time it just flashed "indexing" and went back to the music

I have a 2012 fusion (not sure on exact model, but I'm pretty sure it's a sel) and I recently bought a 128gb flash drive to use to store my music because what I have been using, a 32 gb zune HD, is full and I wanted room for all my music. I put it in this morning and it said something like "sync voice commands not available" and started playing the music. Then I tried to go to the menu on the screen to find a specific song it would flash "indexing" and then go back to the precious screen. So without going back to the zune I'm stuck on shuffle, anyone know how to make it work? (If possible?)
