  1. 2006 Ford Fusion standard model. 131k miles. No major problems except the door handle issue and now my radio light. Where the clock and radio etc display is, it is dim, almost like its burned out. I can push on the display hard and everything brightens up, but only for a minute. I know older cars have a light bulb in them that can replaced, but not sure if this is the case. Especially since I can push on it to make it brighter. At first I thought it was just getting into a cold car, but I remember it did this in the summer as well. If it doesn't make sense, I'm sure I can post a video tonight of what it looks like Any ideas?
  2. Not to bring up a dead thread but I came back here and noticed I am not the only one with this problem. 2006 Fusion the driver side door handle broke. I have to manually lock it. Too bad Ford won't do a recall on it
  3. Hey all I'm a new one here but have lurked for some time. I have a 2006 Fusion I4S with 75k (Yes I know lots of miles but hey, it gets me all over) Have a slight problem/annoyance. For any of us who live in Michigan, and live where winter hits you will understand. My 06 Fusion does NOT come with Anti-lock brakes (ABS). When I was getting the vehicle (had it in my step moms name for the financing half of it since they get the discount) we went for the side airbag and all that safety stuff and the color I wanted (wasn't that big of a deal to me). But in order to get that, I ended up giving up ABS. Not knowing. I really thought it ALL new cars come with ABS. But I guess not. Anyway just curious on how much would I be looking at getting ABS installed? ABS kit itself? How difficult is it to get it installed? Also, when I accelerate in the snow, and it doesn't catch, it slides right. Same thing stopping on snow. Common?
