  1. So since when do struts and shocks hold up cars? I was under the impression it was the springs! Silly me! God do I hate stupid people. As to the OP, car looks great man! Diggin' the orange wheels, its so different it works IMO.
  2. Not sure if this is allowed but I figured I would stop in and mention it, for those who were trying to register for FordFusionClub.com we opened the registration up yesterday to test the new spam blockers....they are not working, so we suspect that the registration will be closed again very soon (possibly today or tonight). If you want in I would go ASAP and register. Have a great day guys Kenny
  3. Hey, sorry to the OP if it feels like I am doing a slight thread jack, but I felt this was important. If someone is trying to register on FFC fill out the registration form and submit it, even though the capcha does not work. Then pm either me or blackfusion07 with your info and we will forward it along to get you added to the site. We are currently working on a fix for the site but it may take some time. BTW: I am a SM on FFC, my SN is Seasonalskier. Again, sorry for the slight thread jack.
  4. Tires are rated to the speed that they can safely handle. If you exceed these speeds you have a very high chance that the tread will fly off the car, one of my best friends died this way, he was doing 100 MPH when his tread flew off the tire and the officers said that he had no chance to survive the incident. If you want to do those speeds be warned and check your tire ratings. I have listed the charts that give the recommended MAX speeds that the tire can handle: M 81 mph 130 km/h N 87 mph 140km/h P 93 mph 150 km/h Q 99 mph 160 km/h R 106 mph 170 km/h S 112 mph 180 km/h T 118 mph 190 km/h U 124 mph 200 km/h H 130 mph 210 km/h V 149 mph 240 km/h W 168 mph 270 km/h Y 186 mph 300 km/h Happy driving!
  5. i have the same car and it runs about 3,000-3,200 RPM's in 5th on the freeway. Hope that helps
  6. What it is if you remove the cluster you will find that there is a small green piece of plastic in between the lights and the cluster, if you take out that piece and strip the paint from it you can mix a paint with water to make it clear, test the color on a small spot to make sure that it is see through enough to where the light will even be seen! I had done this to my other car, i never took apart the dash of my fusion (too nice!) but i would assume that the designs didn't change too much.
  7. Even though it is a lease, i would highly recommend you getting a set of snow tires for your car, depending on where you live i could get you the name of someone who will give you a great deal. I live about 20 miles out of Detroit and I wouldn't trust my car on anything but snow tires during the winter, they are well worth the extra money and you could possibly sell them back to the tire company (for a little less) after you are done using them. Or you could hold on to the tire itself and just switch the rim out in between seasons!
  8. I just bought a 06 fusion and it didnt come with an aux input, I would like to hook up one but i didnt know two things, if it wasnt installed stock will i need a new wiring harness and how do you remove the factory stereo? Thanks in advance for the help, and is there any hook ups in the back of the stereo for external speakers (ie, sub/second rear set)? ~Ken
