Hey all, hope somebody can help.
I got the engine coolant recall on my 2013 Fusion ecoboost done in January. About 3 months ago I started up the car and drove it to errands. While driving I received the "pull over safely" and it felt like the engine was misfiring. I let it sit and it started back up and I took it home. I took to a local mechanic who said the water pump was seized and the belt had snapped. I have never overheated the engine! He put it back together and now it surges repeatedly at idle and will stall sometimes while idling. I took it to another shop who said the issue was now the throttle body and they changed it but it hasn't gotten any better. I can feel the surge while under throttle as well but here is the kicker, I remote started my car yesterday and it doesn't surge while under remote control. The first shop thinks it is a sensor that got changed during the recall and the second shop who has the same computer as Ford says it should be fine... I don't know what to do!
