Just go to a dealership and order one. This way your certain your the only one who's driven it (as opposed to demo cars). It takes about 7-8 weeks normally. Other options is you can go to a dealership and see if they can search other dealerships that have what your looking for. Good luck,

So what your saying is it would be moving from something outdated to something worse? :P Adaptive CC seems more classy though.

How much would it cost and how much of a pain would it be to have an Adaptive Cruise Control system installed replacing the factory cc? I know they come on the Taurus (as do other cool toys) but am curious about putting on the fusion

Odd, the brochure i have does not have that option. I am guessing its because I am in Canada

Squealing noise when I start my fusion
Placebos replied to amymichelle51's topic in General Powertrain Discussion
Perhaps the Timing change/belt? I have that on my focus right now actually. in the morning i will start it up and hear this high pitch whistling noise but it goes away once the car is warmed up. -
I am in Toronto but don't look in to it yet. I will let you know later in the day. Thanks!

I am in the market for winter rims but unfortunatly you dont ship to canada

When i tested the sport back in June, i gave the stereo a quick test and noticed, even with the bass all the way up, it did not have that much bass. Now, i was listening to FM radio and i didnt reall play around with it aside from treble and bass so maybe these settings will improve. But if they dont, I would probably be looking to hook up like 2 10" subs to the factory system. I know using the factory system with subs is kind of a faux pas but, i would rather keep the factory system. Someone did mention swapping the actual speakers for "Blackpunkt" or something like that but, i donno.

The manual only mentions this; 1. Select this function from the SETUP menu to disable the reverse sensing system feature. 2. Press RESET to turn the rear park assist off. When R (Reverse) gear is selected, PARK AID OFF will be displayed. If that still doesn't keep it off, then i suppose you'd have to get the dealership to do it :S

Hey Thanks for your opinions. I may actually get it if i can find a decent dealer. I just have a feeling that if i wax the car, the portion that has the clear bra will not shine as much as the rest of the hood, and it will look odd.
-
I have been using Turtle Wax Premium on my focus and it shines really nice for a couple of weeks. I am thinking of switching to a paint sealent on my fusion since i heard it protects the paint better. Thats not to say i won't wax it though. I used mcquire's before and didnt really notice a difference between that and the turtle wax

Hey guys, yet another question; has anyone had any experience with the invisible car bra? I know 3M makes one but i was wondering if anyone has ever installed one. Also how does it work if your washing/waxing or applying paint sealent to the car? Thanks,
-
For the tail lights you can actually get the tints for them. I dont have an experience with thois company but iits an example of what i am talking about. http://www.decalfx.com/smoked_tail_light_film.html So instead of spraying them you can go ahead and just tint them yourself. For the grill, i myself am trying to find a solid way to darken it but so far i have nothing. I am trying to find a way to make it a smoked chrome look.
-
Hey nFused, how are you modding your grille? I want to have everything chrome on mine tinted to be similar to smoked chrome but have not found a way to do so. If you know a way please let me know. Good luck in finding your answer.

Hi everyone, I am awaiting the arrival of my new Fusion and while i wait i am trying to research some things. I do wash my current car myself using the old mit and soap followed by a chamois and the occasional turtle wax. Now i have noticed from my first car that, the mit will get dirty quickly, especially if you hit a spot of grease or oil somewhere, pretty much renders the mit unuseable. I am looking for a good presoak agent that will remove or loosen noticable dirt and grime before the first rinse/soap cycle. Anyone have any ideas?
