My cars air conditioning only works in park. The button on the gear shift for going downhill only works in park, the heating/cooling fan turns off and on intermittantly, Where is the computer that controls these functions and what is it called, can it be reflashed or replaced?

My air conditioning only work when the shifter is park. Same with the down hill button on the shifter, I can only turn it on and off in park. Sounds to me like the computer is the issue.

I spilled a glass of water on the gear shift column and now the air only works when in park. It turns off as soon as I try to drive away. The AC is fully charged.
