How does one go about the warranty exception, I agree wholeheartedly but feel like I’m going to get the answer “it is what it is” - who has the power to make a warranty exception? Service Writer, Service Manager?

Same issue here. Fuzzy, disintegrates in my hand. I decided to vacuum the rear window well which was a bad idea as it basically vacuumed away the entire carpet leaving noticeable grey crystallized lines. Outside of the 36,000 mi warranty, and extended warranty won’t cover. Called parts and came out to $230 for it. Haven’t gotten labor estimate yet as i’m trying to figure out whether I actually care it looks like it does. Should honestly be a re-call issue.
