  1. Ouch !! that hurt... Plymouth, MI here.
  2. Yeah, I was just referring to the remote start being compatible with the My Key. There was a glitch discovered with the original remote start units when installed on vehicles with My Key. If you have the My Key feature, and don't install a secondary relay system with that remote start, regardless of the key, features of the My Key become active. Such as if you drive over 60 mph your radio will shut off. Ford released a new remote start in June of 09 to remedy this problem.
  3. Hey bbf2530, thanks for the info. The installer said that it has the My Key feature, I thought he was talking about the Remote Start that he installed, that it would support the My Key system. I don't recall whether this Fusion came with that or not (have had it since July). I'll have to do some more research. And DaveM, yeah, that's how all my other remote starters have reacted. That's why I felt this was a little strange. OK, Thanks again
  4. I just had a genuine Ford remote start accessory (the one button - Bronze) installed in my 2010 Fusion Sport. The vehicle starts fine remotely, but the odd thing is that when I get into the car and place the key in the ignition the car shuts off. Then has to be restarted again. The installer said this was normal because of the chip in the key. Is it ?
