  1. I posted a complaint about the visors on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration website: http://www.nhtsa.gov/ I saw one other complaint there as well. If you are sick of the Ford visors and find that you don't use them because of the issue, I recommend filing a complaint with NHTSA. It only takes a few minutes. Ford will not do anything for us unless there are enough complaints documented.
  2. I've got the same issue on my '07 fusion and it's really annoying. It seems like a safety issue (the visor shouldn't be getting in the way of your line of sight..) It's definitely a design issue. Does Ford have a replacement visor that won't do this? Can anyone tell me if the later fusions have this issue or did Ford change the design? I'm wondering if I can get the newer fusion visors to replace mine...
  3. So perhaps I should try to get the ones I've got turned. However, if I need to get new rotors, anyone have a suggestion on where to buy rotors that aren't made in China, but aren't the $400/pair high performance rotors? I don't need anything fancy, I just want rotors with good quality metal (not China) that I will be able to turn a few times...
  4. I had the car at a ford dealer for an oil change and they informed me that I will need front brake pads and rotors soon. They told me they could not turn the rotors and the service guy also mentioned that it is common to not be able to turn the OEM rotors, even once. Is he just trying to sell me rotors when I don't need them? Does anyone know the spec for the minimum thickness for the 2007 Fusion? I'd like to measure mine to see where I'm at. How much is taken off when rotors are turned? I know it depends, but is there a general rule of thumb of what is expected for a turn (assuming no warping issues).
  5. Any one know where I can buy rotors for my 2007 Ford Fusion that won't need to be replaced every time I change my brake pads? Original rotors were never turned and are already too thin. I'd like to at least be able to turn my rotors once before replacing them! Thanks.
