  1. Nice video Bob Neubauer. My driver side front door handle broke today on my 2010 Fusion at just over 60K miles. Simple to replace with the help of your video plus the link provided by fastfords4me. Extremely poor interior door handle design by Ford.
  2. Tonight, I had to get to the backup lamp bulb on the driver's side of my Fusion as it no longer illuminated. I thought I was going to find that the bulb needed to be replaced, but found that it illuminated when I wiggled it in the socket. As far as that goes, it is working now that I have put it back together. I'll keep on eye on this to see if it goes out again. The reason for my post is that I found getting to the bulb not so easy. Of all the vehicles I've owned over the years, this is the most difficulty I've had getting to bulbs at the rear of a vehicle. Even after reading the user guide, it was not as easy as I would have expected it to be. I am not a fan of the Fusion's access to the rear bulbs. I am wondering what others might have to say about their experience if they have had to replace rear bulbs in their Fusion. I still love driving my 2010 Fusion!
  3. Wow! I like them, too! How much are they?
  4. Pointless and ugly? Not to me. I find it very useful. I no longer need the key to get into the car. When it is sitting on the driveway locked, I just enter the code to unlock the door, and Bob's your uncle! If I want to pop the trunk open, I press another button within 5 seconds of unlocking the car, and Bob's your uncle! Lock the car by pressing two buttons. Piece of cake! My 2008 Ford Edge and 2010 Ford Fusion both came with the keyless entry keypad. I added a personal entry code to the Fusion to match that of the Edge. I only need to remember one code to get into either vehicle. I can't imagine removing the keypad from the car.
  5. I see a few Fusions each day on my commute around Fort Worth, TX. I think I see more older model Fusions than the 2010. I hardly see any 2010 Fusion Sport models like mine. Last month, on a 10 day road trip from Fort Worth to Washington DC via Arkansas, Tennessee, Virginia, and back via Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Lousiana, I didn't see too many Fusions. I drove our 2008 Edge on the trip, and I saw a bunch of Edge's. That is one popular vehicle for Ford.
  6. And take a chance on messing up my Fusion? No thanks.
  7. It sure is. An otherwise great looking car with hub caps. :boring:
  8. I received another offer from Sirius this week. Get 50% off 12 months of SIRIUS (That's 6 months FREE*!) Take advantage of this special offer and get your next 12 months of SIRIUS service for only $77. Plus, we'll waive the reactivation fee, for a total savings of over $92. *OFFER DETAILS: Purchase a prepaid recurring 12-month plan of "SIRIUS Everything" on your inactive radio for $77 for your first 12 months and save 50% off the standard monthly subscription rate of $12.95/month. Other fees and taxes will apply to your subscription. Service will automatically renew for recurring 12-month periods, or any longer period you choose, and at our then-current renewal rates after your welcome-back promotional period ends, unless you cancel. Activation fee of $15.00 is waived on this offer. Blah, blah, blah.... Has anyone received a better offer?
  9. Congrats on the purchase of your new Fusion! I love my Fusion, too. I wish Ford would design in a lock on the fuel filler door. I have two recent model year Ford vehicles that do not have a locking door, and yet another vehicle I own from 1999 does, Does anyone know why Ford doesn't add the locking feature? My salesmen didn't know why.
  10. I've never gotten better than 24 (and some change) mpg when measuring on the refill. Most miles on my Fusion are 25 miles each way to work. I've not had my Fusion Sport on the road exclusively for highway driving so I don't know what the highway only mileage would be on my vehicle (I always have some city miles mixed in with the highway miles). That said, if I reset the computer I can achieve better mpg's than 24+ over a shorter period of time than a full tank of gas. It all depends on how and when you measure mpg.
  11. I've used one in my 2010 Fusion to power a charger for a cell phone. I've also used one in my 2008 Edge to power a Sony portable 7" DVD player and a Microsoft Zune. None are as large as a laptop, but I've never had a problem using an inverter in either vehicle. Good luck!
  12. I agree. My two Ford vehicles have keyless entry, and I use them all the time when I need to get into either vehicle and don't have the keys. It's a no brainer!
