I just wanted to say THANKS ALLEN!!! I have also performed this fix to my 2010 Fusion and am amazed at the results after a few days driving it. My car is running beautifully again. I had forgotten how good the EV capabilities worked on the car in the first years I bought it. Ford should be ashamed of themselves for not figuring this out and dealing with it. I have spent over $400 in diagnostics/throttle body cleanings etc, not to mention the loss in gas savings, from the ICE running constantly. Does anyone have a head office address or know who I should write to complain? Cheers, D

I've had this issue and the car wouldnt turn over. It was the battery. 2010 and I've gone through 4 batteries.

I am also an owner of a 2010 Fusion Hybrid with the exact same problem. It has got progressively worse over the last three winters and now my EV doesnt come on at all until car has been driving for hours. I have had it into the dealer and they cannot diagnose the problem. I am running in Empower Mode and my thermostat light thingy does turn green but the EV doesn't engage. Capt K-9 might be on to something regarding the thermostat. How much does that cost to replace?? Absolutely love my Fusion btw... Thats why I still drive it! :-)

To save on gas I usually leave on auto at 25C and then slowly work the temperature lower until its at a comfortable level, as it doesn't seem to draw as much power that way.

I also had this problem however it turned out to be a loose battery cable. Agood bump in the road would cause everything to reset. You may want to check this out. Cheers,

I've never had a moonroof car before so I was a bit surprised that there wasn't a light or something that told you it was open. Not a huge deal. D

chubb! Don't worry it will be worth the wait! I had to wait 6 weeks for mine. Amazing car, especially if you got it fully loaded with nav and BLIS.

Hi there... new to the forum. I LOVE MY FUSION! Best car I've ever driven. Ok that's out of the way... I don't get any warning chime or notification if I leave the moonroof open and lock the vehicle? Is this normal? Kind of scary if you accidentally leave it open overnight? It's the only bad thing I can say about this car!
