  1. I don't know anything about the aftermarket upgrades although I am considering the steeda intake and tuner. I will without hesitation recommend the sport as a solid buy and a great car. It is a great car for the money, and 9 months into ownership I have zero regrets.
  2. I definetly agree with the previous posts about tire rotation. I rotate mine every 7500 at each oil change and have been impressed with the wear so far (12500 miles). Especially since I have made them squeal more than once while cornering hard. I too had the high pitched "squeak" that you described. I thought it was coming from the firewall as well but eventually isolated it to the driver's seat. I pulled on the cables and smeared some of the existing grease on the slider rails underneath and it is gone for now. I can't definitively say what was causing it or why it is gone. I suspect that one of the conduits for the wiring under the seat was rubbing on the metal seat slider. As far as the suspension noise is concerned, next time it is occuring, look for a flashing yellow triangle in the instrument cluster. If so then it is simply the noise the car makes when the vsc engages. I hope your dealer addresses your issues for you. I ended up driving 90 miles to purchase mine because of a bad serfice experience at my local dealer.
  3. I was just about to settle for a hyundai sonata when I ran across my fusion. I am so happy I didn't settle. I thought when I got it that I would live with the dents as I just bought it as work transportation. I had to have them removed because it turned into my favorite car. My wife loves it so much she tries to make excuses for me to drive her pilot when I leave for the week.
  4. I bought a 2010 sport blue with blue leather and awd early this summer and I have 9000 miles on it. This car had me from the first one I test drove last November. My best highway mileage for a 250 mile trip was 31 but I set the cruise at 65 and didnt stop at all. I average 24-25 on the highway running mid 80s for speed. 19-20 in town. My mileage figures are not much different than my wife's 09 pilot either. She can actually do better than I do in town periodically. I have had zero issues with the car so far. I replaced the original oil with mobil1 and will change it every 7000 miles as 90% of my miles are on the highway. I'd like quicker shifts but overall this car is an awesome compromise between practicality and fun. I am more than satisfied with the performance. The difference between awd and fwd is incredible in the handling department. I'll give up a couple mpgs for the smiles in the corners. I travel between 400 and 800 miles per week for work. I might consider trading for a 3.5 ecoboost if it ever happens but until then this is the best weekly travel car i have owned yet.
  5. I got a 2010 sport blue awd in June and shopped for around nine months prior and it sounds like you got a great deal actually. The company I work for does alot of business with ford so we get what amounts to invoice pricing minus a few dollars and whatever current incentives there are at the time. I initially drove one last november and fell in love with it but even with my discount it was around 28,000. I think mine is equipped similarly. Basically loaded minus nav. I ended up buying a mildly hail damaged one for 18,000 which made better sense financially at the time. I am currently spending 2500 dollars to repair and repaint the drivers side so I consider the price as 20,500 total. It still has a clean title and full warranty so I feel pretty good about the deal overall.
