Hello, I have a 2010 Fusion SE that had a parking brake stuck. It was somewhat difficult to release the parking brake. It wasn't a big deal until one day it wouldn't release. I did not drive with the parking brake on/applied...lol. But I tried my best to push the release button in to lower the brake. It would work so i took a some plyers and pulled the button as gently as I could and it released but now the parking brake will not apply any longer. I can lift the handle into position and it works but it will not stay in position. It appears that by pulling the release button something inside the parking brake handle broke or come loose. Has anyone experienced this or now the best way to fix? I called the dealership and they said they would need to remove the center console and etc. to see what happened. I just would like to see if anyone know if this could be a self fix or involve an auto shop. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance. Otis
