  1. Thanks. I think your advice is the real solution rather than fooling around with it.
  2. The seatbelt locks in place so tightly that it occasionally can’t be used. We fuss with it, pulling gently in various directions to no avail. It may or may not release. Strangely, the next time I come out, it may release with no problem. Any ideas?

  4. Took my '15 FFH in to get 15S08 (Steering Bolt) and 19S25 (Seatbelt Pretensioner) Recalls fixed. A few weeks later, Ford sent me the attached letter stating that their audit suggests that the work wasn't done correctly. I contacted the dealer and they'd never heard of such a letter and were quite surprised. Has anyone here had a similar experience? Any advice? Should I go to a different Dealer? TIA. 5. After 49 months, almost to the day, the 12v battery in my 2015 FFH gave up the ghost. I had read where 4-5 years was the norm so was not too surprised. 62k miles, mostly in the great variety of temperatures and conditions of New Hampshire gave it a workout. Really lucked out in that the car refused the day’s first start after resting overnight in our garage! what has been your experience?
  6. I’m reasonably confident that a block heater could be used to ensure the engine starts in cold weather which would have to happen with any car. Hybrids aren’t overly efficient in weather extremes but neither are conventional ICE’s. My ‘15 has been a gem as far as I’m concerned. Smooth, quiet, low maintenance, comfortable, intriguing for any nerdy types! You only live once; if it’s unsatisfying, sell it and get something else.
  7. Thanks for the info! I think you’re spot on with it. I’ll have to find one of those old models with the click switch, if they’re still made!
  8. I have a 2015 Fusion SE Hybrid and while traveling Plug in a marine refrigerator/freezer. This unit runs well in the car and have had no problems. It uses what I call the cigarette lighter plug at the rear of the console. The problem comes when I plug in a heating pad using the two-prong outlet at the rear of the console. The heating pad will not heat up at all. I’ve disconnected the refrigerator thinking the system can’t support both at the same time. No heat in the pad. I’ve plugged the refrigerator into the two prong outlet and it runs fine. The heating pad operates fine at home and in hotels. Appreciate any suggestions or ideas you may have.
  9. It would help the really smart people on this forum to know the year of your hybrid, mileage, etc. Not being a wise guy, jut trying to help.
  10. No problems lately. I’m assuming operator error has been corrected.?
  11. Yes, the green light in the lower left is hard to miss. She’s much aware of this. I relayed your suggestion to turn the key fully against the tension spring. We’ll see what happens next. Appreciate your suggestions.
  12. Oh yeah! A few of us can’t handle fobs and push button start.?
  13. “Won’t start” = no motive power in either direction. Just silence when key is turned and dash lights remain on. No observation of dimming.
  14. 2015 SE Hybrid 43K My wife reports that on a number of occasions after backing up the car stalls and will not start again. She puts the car in Park, turns the key and it won’t start. After two or three of these procedures, it starts. She’s becoming anti-Ford. Car was in the showroom for an extended period. A new 12v battery was installed when the car was delivered to me in mid-December 2015. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
  15. Adaptive Cruise Control is a great thing to have as you can pretty much set it and forget it. It’s made me more patient on the road. Some of the other safety packages are very much worth it even though they are more expensive than I believe necessary. My ‘15 FFH SE came with nearly everything available that year and I appreciate each of them. They’ll negotiate.Be patient. Enjoy your ride when you get it as it’s an excellent car.
  16. Who wooda thunk? That’s an impressive result and I’m sure you’re feeling a lot better about your new FFH. Very happy for you and hope you enjoy many miles in a really great car.
  17. Yup, you’ll fill up more often for sure. Until the end of January, my overall mpg was 44.5. A trip to Florida with two electric bikes on the back of a fully loaded car acted like a huge brake and dropped that average to 43+ according to the onboard display. Some tanks were in the low 30’s due to speeding along at 70-80 mph. I’ve not driven a 2.5 engine but I’ve not found this engine to be unresponsive as I can merge without a problem and pass whenever I want. It’s no V-8, but it’s fine. Our previous car was a Fusion V-6 SEL AWD and the hybrid has not been disappointing. My Fuelly.com records show that in the warm weather months here I’ll get 495-525 miles to a tank. I try to keep highways speeds under 65 and I’m pretty careful about starting and stopping. The Coach feature has really taught me to drive more economically.
  18. Your experience with high mileage inspires me! I bought a '15 SE Hybrid in December of '15 and now have 36K satisfying (s)miles on it. It is a truly great car in every respect and I hope to run it to 200K but I'll likely be gone before that. By all means try out the newer model. I first looked at a '14 but found that the passenger seat was extremely low and unpowered. The '15 has a fully powered passenger seat and that's very important to us. Speed sensing cruise control is fantastic on the highway and I think the '16 and later will bring you to a complete stop where my '15 disconnects about 15 mph. The BLIS system is a great safety feature and my wife thinks that alone was worth buying the car. Don't be afraid of the SE model as they can come with nearly all the features of the Titanium except some of the exterior trim. There are some very good buys out there. Happy hunting.
  19. Similar story with me. Appointment scheduled for the bolt replacement and cancelled a day later because parts are unavailable.
  20. Lolder is correct, I believe. My battery was installed new in the ‘15 FFH I bought in Dec. 2015. The original battery was heavily used in the showroom model that I bought and was DOA before I went out the door. It’s nice to know that you’ve gotten as much as you have from yours as I’ve been thinking tha I’d better be alert as I go through the 3rd year.
  21. This transmission anomaly was on the list for my 30K checkup. Of course they couldn’t recreate the problem but did check with Ford who said they were unaware of any problem of this nature. At least it’s now in the record. Otherwise, everything is in order. What a car!! Just love it.
  22. My guess is that your dealer's tech forgot to unplug the OBD cable after doing some pre-sale work on the car. A seven year-old car with that milage is a find! Many happy miles with it for you.
