    Confused

HI Eli23569 and welcome to the Fusion Forums. Blind Internet diagnosis is tricky at best, even with photos. And it is not the wheel itself. You sustained left front end damage. The messages you are receiving would lead one to believe either the AdvanceTrac sensors/wiring or other components, or other AdvanceTrac related/connected suspension components were at least partially damaged. Did you have Collision coverage on your Insurance policy? Are you having the vehicle repaired? The way to have this properly diagnosed would be to have the vehicle looked at by a Collision/body shop or a Lincoln Dealer or independent shop you trust. Anything else is educated but still blind guessing. I am sure others will jump in with more help and advice, so keep us updated and good luck.
  3. Hi Roxas. No, they are not snap cushions (if they are still factory). In the past, I used Woolite Fabric Cleaner foam for vehicles I had with cloth seats. I followed the directions and it did an excellent job. I am sure others will jump in to help, so keep us updated and good luck.
  4. Hi RobertG. Are you pressing the lock button twice? The 2011 models should only honk when you press the lock button twice. First press, lights flash. Second press (within a second or two) and the horn honks once. Two horn honks on either press means a door, the trunk or hood is open. Let us know how you make out and good luck.
  5. Hi Reggieros. As drolds1 mentioned, you are dragging up old threads. And now you are quoting and thanking yourself.
  6. Hi chris. Check the Index in your Owners Manual under "Changing the 12v battery". It is page 251 of the "3rd printing" . On earlier Fusions there is an Idle and Fuel Trim Strategy relearn procedure which needs to be performed when the battery has been replaced. That procedure was replaced by the BMS reset in later model years. For a full explanation, see your Owners Manual. In the meantime, here is the Idle and Fuel Trim relearn procedure: "1. With the vehicle at a complete stop, set the parking brake. 2. Shift the transmission into P. 3. Turn off all accessories. 4. Step on the brake pedal and start the vehicle. 5. Run the engine until it reaches normal operating temperature. While the engine is warming up, complete the following: Reset the clock. See Audio System (page 105). Reset the power windows bounce-back feature. See Windows and Mirrors (page 72). Reset the radio station presets. See Audio System (page 105). 6. Allow the engine to idle for at least one minute. If the engine turns off, step on the accelerator to start the engine. 7. While the engine is running, step on the brake pedal and shift the transmission to N. 8. Allow the engine to run for at least one minute by pressing on the accelerator pedal. 9. Drive the vehicle at least 10 miles (16 kilometers) to completely relearn the idle and fuel trim strategy. Note: If you do not allow the engine to relearn the idle and fuel trim strategy, the idle quality of your vehicle may be adversely affected until the engine computer eventually relearns the idle trim and fuel trim strategy." Check the Index in your copy for the correct pages and the full explanation. Let us know how you make out and good luck.
  7. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone! 🎄
  8. Hi cdygalloway. Yes, as WKelley stated, it can be considered "normal". In addition, you may want to check your power steering fluid for correct level, if you have not already done so. And if it has never been flushed/changed, you may also want to have that work performed. Keep us updated and good luck.
  9. Hi Amnon and welcome to the Ford Fusion Forum. You may get a better response if you start your own new thread, instead of hopping on an already existing and older thread about O2 sensor locations. Good luck.
  10. Hi Lorene and welcome to the Ford Fusion Forum. As you can see in this thread, there are others who have experienced this issue. It seems to be more of an issue with some 2020 models and a few 2019's. Blind Internet diagnosis seems to point to some batches of the material being sub-standard/defective, but that is just a guess. How to resolve it depends on the situation. If the vehicle is still within the 3 year/36,000 mile New Vehicle Warranty, scheduling a service appointment and having your Ford Dealership replace it under warranty would be the answer. One member did just that and had it replaced under warranty. Unfortunately, as in your case, most Fusions will now be outside that New Vehicle Warranty period. In that case, scheduling a service appointment and seeing if your Ford Dealership can perform an accommodation such as customer satisfaction type of extended warranty would be the next step. This would be a decision made by the Dealership on a case-by-case basis, or by them contacting Ford. You can also contact Ford Customer Relations directly to ask if there is something they may be able to do to help. In most cases, an ESP Plan/extended warranty would not cover an issue like this. But do not take my word for it, see what the Service Manager at your Dealership tells you. Unfortunately, in addition...Most members who have posted in this thread have been a "one and done" type of thing. They have come here, registered, posted once to complain, then never come back to offer any more information as to what they did, what the final outcome was etc. Your best course of action would be to schedule a service appointment and see what your Dealership can do, if anything. And also contact Ford Customer Relations. Let us know how you make out and good luck.
  11. Hi tkeener and welcome to the Ford Fusion Forum. Here is a link to help with the P0741 DTC code: https://www.obd-codes.com/p0741 Unfortunately, since it relates to "Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Performance or Stuck off", it does not seem to explain the ticking/knocking you are experiencing. Take a look at the code/troubleshooting explanation, and see if you feel you may need a professional shop/tech/mechanic for further assistance. Oh, one question: Is there any chance your Fusion is still within the 5 year/60,000 mile Powertrain Warranty? Keep us updated and good luck.
  12. Hi wmbeckham. The tires need to be removed from the wheels in order to replace the TPMS sensors. Most people I know, including myself, do not have the tools necessary for that. Do you have the tools and ability to dismount all 4 tires from the wheels and remount them yourself? If not, you will need to have this work performed by a shop. This was why I also mentioned it may make sense just to wait until you need to replace your tires, if it will not be too long from now. In that way, the sensors can simply be replaced as part of the work when they install the new tires and saving you quite a bit of money. After all, you have been living with the TPMS warning light for a year now anyway. Keep us updated and good luck.
  13. Hi wmbeckham. My recommendation would be this: You will need to dismount the tires from the wheels in order to replace the sensors anyway. Therefore, instead of trying to save a few dollars purchasing sensors on your own, find a tire shop you trust and have them supply, replace and retrain them. Do you belong to Costco or another warehouse club that installs tires? If yes, that would be a good place to go. Also...if you will need to be replacing your tires soon anyway, wait until then, replace the TPMS sensors when you replace the tires, and save a good chunk of money. Concerning whether there could be another issue besides TPMS batteries? Yes, it is possible. However, if the sensors on your Fusion are the factory originals, then as you surmised, the batteries are long overdue for replacement. I am sure others will jump in with more advice, so keep us updated and good luck.
  14. Hi NealT. Is the following Ford SYNC 3 update website link the one you stated was/is broken? https://www.ford.com/support/sync-maps-updates/ If not, try that one. And hopefully the Ford representatives you are speaking with will be able to assist you. Keep us updated and good luck.
  15. Hi NealT Okay, so it seems your update was successful and you have the latest version of SYNC 3.4 installed (SYNC 3.4.23188). The next question is: What SYNC Master Reset instructions were you following? Did you use the SYNC Master Reset instructions in your Owners Manual? If the multiple SYNC Master Resets were not successful and you used instructions from another source, following the Owners Manual instructions would be the next step (if that was not what you did). If that is of no help, then it becomes more likely that is a system error or flaw which may need to be corrected (i.e. a bad APIM etc.). Try the Owners Manual instructions for a SYNC Master Reset (if you didn't already) and let us know how you make out. If another member has more help to offer, I am sure they will jump in to help. Keep us updated and good luck.
  16. Hi NealT. Just a few questions: - Is it safe to assume your 2019 Fusion is equipped with SYNC 3.4? - Did you perform the update via WiFi...or via USB download from the Ford SYNC 3 update website? - What version of SYNC did your system update to? Get back to us and good luck.
  17. Hi RoadTo300k and welcome to the Ford Fusion Forum. There are many possibilities, which makes blind Internet diagnosis difficult at best. That being said, the usual place to start is to have the battery checked for charge and health. This is because a weak battery may/will lead to the type of behavior you are describing. Modern vehicles are very battery intensive, especially on startup, due to the computer/electronic/electrical demands. To perform a proper battery test check, it will entail a full load check (not a battery meter test alone). In addition, how old is the battery in your vehicle? If it is more than 3-4 years old, it may be/is likely time to replace it. The higher electrical load of modern vehicle often means we do not get the battery life we used to in the "old days". Also, if you are not driving often or only taking short trips (more common nowadays, post-pandemic), it may not be enough to keep the battery charged enough, which can also lead to the sort of issues you are having. There are often coupons for a free battery test on the Ford owner website, and also on many individual dealer websites. A battery load test is where I would start. Keep us updat4ed and good luck.
  18. Hi Burak Ozcan and welcome to the Ford Fusion Forum. Unfortunately, this may not be the best forum to obtain information about your 2006 1.4 Diesel Ford Fusion. Other than name, your Fusion is a completely different vehicle than the U.S./North American Fusion this forum is dedicated to. Yours is a compact 4 door hatchback, while ours is mid-size 4 door sedan. Essentially the same vehicle as the Ford Mondeo, which may also be available where you are probably located. Our U.S. Fusion is not even available with a diesel engine. If another member here can help, I am sure they will jump in to do so. I just did not want you to think your post was being ignored. Let us know how you make out and good luck.
  19. Hi helixal. No, losing coolant is usually not "normal" in any engine. You don't mention seeing any leaks under the vehicle, coolant traces in the exhaust, unusual white smoke from the exhaust? Also, the coolant overflow tank only needs to be filled up to the appropriate line (either "Hot" or "Cold"), according to whether the engine is hot or cold at the time. It does not need to be "Full". How far below the appropriate fill line was your tank now? Whether it would be covered under the Powertrain Warranty really depends on what the issue is. Blind Internet diagnosis? In many/most cases like this...probably. For example, if it's a failure due to an internal engine issue, yes. If it is a leaking hose, due to undetermined causes, it may not be. Those are simply two general examples, but the Owner Warranty Guide you were given when you purchased (assuming you purchased new) will go into more detail. At this point, your best course of action would be to schedule a service appointment at your soonest convenience to have the issue properly diagnosed and corrected. Keep us updated and good luck.
  20. Hi Tarnafes and welcome to the Ford Fusion Forum. Unfortunately, your European Union Fusion is a completely different vehicle than the U.S. Fusion this forum is dedicated to. Your Fusion is a 4 door, compact hatch. Our Fusion is a 4 door, mid-size sedan which has virtually nothing in common with your Fusion, other than the name. Our Fusion is essentially the same vehicle as the 4 door sedan version of the Mondeo in the E.U., That being said, I am sure another member here will jump in to help if they are familiar with the workings of your Fusion audio system. Let us know how you make out and good luck.
  21. Hi Helixal. If you were able to get 3 free NAV updates on a single Ford Fusion, you were a very lucky owner. The most I have ever been aware of Ford vehicles getting is one free update, and as previously stated, even Lincoln vehicles were only entitled to two. In addition, they had to be used within the New Vehicle Warranty time period. So 3 years/36,000 miles for Fords, and 4 years/50,000 miles for Lincolns. And even that changes with the new SYNC 4 and recently released Google based SYNC systems. So count yourself lucky on the NAV update subject. Good luck. 🍻
  22. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! 🦃 Stay safe and good luck! 🍻
  23. Hi Helixal. Yes, that has been the one year/single update cost for more than a few years now (at least 4). It has been $109 for the download only. And $149 if you want them to mail a loaded USB. Or we can opt for the 5 year subscription, which is $199 for the five year download subscription, or $239 to receive a loaded USB, and add $40 for the loaded USB each subsequent 4 years. Lincoln vehicles equipped with SYNC 3 NAV used to get 2 free downloads. Then we had to pay. I am not sure if Ford vehicles were entitled to any free downloads. Good luck.
  24. Hi kalpeshp. They are a good snow/winter-only tire. Are you looking for snow/winter only tires? If yes, and they are not approaching being too old (>~5 years old), they could be a good deal. Also, while they obviously can be driven year-round, the ride and handling in warmer weather will be of a lower quality than your factory all-season tires. My opinion: Due to the smaller size and lower speed rating (T rated is up to 118 mph) and winter only construction, I would not use them if it was for my car. However, if they fit your needs and preferences, then it may be a good fit for you. Keep us updated and good luck.
