  1. Hi FFHioohio and welcome to the Ford Fusion Forum. Google "Ford online parts dealers", skip past the "Ad" links, and do some price shopping there. If you can not find what you need in the online databases, give a call. I have used Tasca parts in the past and been happy. However, that is simply my experience. And keep in mind that pricing at the Parts Department of your local Ford Dealership is negotiable. I have used online pricing to negotiate lower Dealer pricing, so that is another option. Also, my personal recommendation would be to use the Motorcraft/OEM branded parts. And in the future, please do not double post the same question. It is much easier for other members to help when all questions and information are located in one thread. To that end, we will delete the double post in the other existing thread, and leave this new one you started open. Let us know how you make out and good luck.
  2. Hi Clusterliver1. Sorry to hear about your seatbelt issue. However, as a future FYI...Please do not double post questions. It is easier for other members to offer advice when all questions, information etc. are located in one place and in a related sub-forum. Therefore, we will lock this thread (which is in the "General Powertrain Discussion sub-forum), and leave your other post about this subject open. Hopefully another member will jump in with more advice and help. Let us know how you make out and good luck.
  3. Hi bonesy1116 and welcome to the Ford Fusion Forum. Here is what I would recommend: It is always wise to have two keys/keyfobs. So first step would be to purchase a new keyfob and have your Ford Dealership or a certified automotive locksmith program the new key with the old. Then you can follow the Owners Manual instructions to retrieve your Keyless Entry Keypad factory code yourself. Once you have the 5 digit factory code, you can create your own personal 5 digit keypad code. However, keep in mind the original factory code can not be deleted or changed. You can download the PDF version of your Owners Manual here: https://www.fordpro.com/en-us/fleet-vehicles/manuals-and-guides/ To my recollection, only the older/first generation Fusion had the Keyless Entry code hidden in the vehicle on the fuse box lid etc. The newer generation uses the vehicle systems and two programmed keys to retrieve it in the Driver Information Center. Another option would be to use FORScan software, an OBDII USB link and laptop to perform the code retrieval and new keyfob programming. However, in your case, you really should have a second key/keyfob made. Let us know how you make out and good luck.
  4. Hi herring. Just a few possibilities off the top of my head: You could try... - A small patch of strategically placed Velcro. - A strategically placed flat magnet and piece of steel. - Two strategically placed flat magnets. - Or the simplest, but least aesthetically pleasing...A small piece of duct tape. I am sure others will jump in with more suggestions, some of which they may have even tried themselves. Let us know who you make out and good luck.
  5. Hi jeezlouise and welcome to the Ford Fusion Forum. You do not mention which engine you currently have in your 2011 Fusion. An engine swap is a relatively major job. And to avoid winding up with an expensive paper weight in your driveway, you would be limited to the engines which were available in the 2007-2012 Fusion models. And unless you currently have a Fusion Sport with the 3.5L V-6, even that engine would be excluded. Other than a "tune", there is simply not much you can do to realistically upgrade performance in any meaningful manner. Even aftermarket cat-back exhausts and/or CAI's (Cold Air Intakes) are a waste of money, since the Fusion already has quality exhaust and intake systems. So spending that money will do nothing for performance. They will simply give you more intake and exhaust sound/noise. And performance "chips" are a waste of money. In my opinion, you would be better off spending your money on making your Fusion look better. Perhaps new wheels, etc. Or if you really want more performance, buy a Fusion Sport or other higher performing vehicle you may like. I am sure others will jump in with more advice. Keep us updated and good luck.
  6. Hi Roxas. Sorry I can't answer your question. However, since you accidentally double posted the same question in another thread you started, this thread will be locked. Hopefully one of our tech members may have more insight and jump in to help. Good luck.
  7. Hi dsaderholm and welcome to the Ford Fusion Forum. Try a dry Teflon spray lubricant. It works extremely well for squeaks/creaks. It is available at any Lowe's, Home Depot etc. Let us know how you make out and good luck.
  8. Hi Roxas. In addition to the good information which WKelley and andyross provided you...You will also be missing the dash button to enable/disable the Parking Sensor system on demand. Perhaps not a major concern, just something to be aware of. Let us know how you make out and good luck.
  9. Hi ankhzy. First...Your 2020 Fusion has a 5 year/60,000 mile Powertrain Warranty, and any tune or modification you make to your 2020 Fusion can lead to denied Powertrain Warranty claims. So keep that in mind if the warranty is important to you. Next...aftermarket cat-back exhaust systems and so called "CAI's" (cold air intakes) do nothing for power increases in this case. More exhaust and intake noise? Yes. But no additional power. This is because our vehicles already have very good/efficient exhaust and intake systems. The short story: The bottleneck in the exhaust tract are the catalytic converters, and an aftermarket cat-back exhaust does nothing to change that. And in the case of aftermarket CAI's? Our vehicles already have a quality, sealed CAI from the factory, while most aftermarket CAI's use an open air filter box (or a poorly sealed box), which pulls in hot engine compartment air. So while they look pretty, they do not help with power increases. So again, if you want more intake and exhaust noise and the placebo effect, those items are great. But they do not offer anymore power. More power can be obtained with an aftermarket tune (a tuning programmer, not a cheap, worthless "chip"". Just keep in mind a tune may/will endanger any warranty claims under the Powertrain Warranty. And yes, the Dealer/Lincoln most certainly do look for and have the ability to find traces of aftermarket tunes. Keep us updated and good luck.
  10. Hi Murkus. Do you own a European Fusion or a Mondeo? Good luck.
  11. Hi Jacob and welcome to the Ford Fusion Forum. Did you actually mean to type it is a 2.5L engine? There was no 3.5L engine available in the 2015 Fusion. Keep us updated and good luck.
  12. Hi Waldo. Hope all is well! I mentioned wheel size because the MKZ has two different mini spare sizes available. One for the 18" wheels, and one for the 19" wheels. I don't believe it is the wheel size which makes the difference but a brake caliper or other clearance difference issue. I found this information out because my Lincoln Dealership went to swap out the new spare to my car from an 18" wheel equipped MKZ. However, they discovered it is a different size, so they had to order one instead. Of course, this information may not directly apply to the Fusion, but I felt it was a good idea to make it known to the OP. Good luck.
  13. Hi frankd and welcome to the Ford Fusion Forum. The Fusion was a good seller in its heyday, and some have most certainly been involved in accidents and sent to Salvage Yards, so you can try your local Salvage Yards and Carparts.com. To ensure proper fit, obtain one from a 2013-2020 Fusion with 18" wheels, as yours is. If you only want to purchase new, get the part numbers from the Parts Department of your Ford Dealer, then Google the part numbers to shop online. Or use any of the many online Ford Parts sellers. Also, keep in mind that parts and service prices are negotiable, so negotiate with the Parts Manager of your local Ford Dealer/Dealers. Let us know how you make out and good luck.
  14. HI Helixal. As with most/all SYNC 3 map updates, the current update includes reported updates from 2nd quarter of the previous year to 2nd quarter of the current year. So "NA 2 22" contains reported updates from 2nd quarter 2022 to 2nd quarter 2023. So it is about 6 months old. Will there be missing streets etc. which may have been finished last year but no updated? Certainly, it always seems to be that way. But the official description is as provided above. Good luck.
  15. Hi Veronica and welcome to the Ford Fusion Forum. Please do not double post questions. It is easier for others to help when all information is located in one thread. This thread will be locked, and the other thread will be left open. Good luck.
  16. Hi again all! The new SYNC 3 NAV map update..."NA 2 22"...is now available. My advice would be to wait a week or two before purchasing/downloading, to allow for any bugs in the update system to be worked out. Good luck.
  17. Hi Mr.Nobody. My recommendation would be to ask the Parts Department at your local Lincoln Dealership for the correct part number for a 2012 FFH battery. Have your VIN handy, as that is how they properly cross reference the correct parts for a vehicle. They will give you a price and part number. Then you can negotiate pricing with them, or take the part number and shop around for a better price. Let us know how you make out and good luck.
  18. Hi Brando. The OP (ChevyGuy) has not signed in for ~2 1/2 years, so you may not get a reply. Hopefully one of our tech members or another member familiar with this job will see this and jump in to help. Keep us updated and good luck.
  19. Hi siso294 and welcome to the Ford Fusion Forum. Several things: First...The answer to your question was in the post immediately before yours. Literally. Second...As others mentioned above, the answers to many questions about our vehicles can be more quickly found by doing a site search here on the Ford Fusion Forum, or a general Google search. Third...The spam link in your post has been removed Good luck.
  20. Hi gang. For those interested: The latest SYNC 3 map update will be available "on or near August 14th, 2023". https://syncnavigation.com/ford/home Good luck. ?
  21. Hi RLJ and welcome to the Ford Fusion Forum. An engine swap with a Fusion Energi in order to turn it into a "top tier level" performer is simply not a realistic/feasible project. If you want a performance oriented Fusion, your best course of action would be to sell your Fusion Energi Hybrid and purchase a Fusion Sport with the 2.7L EcoBoost, or a 2.0L Fusion EcoBoost. Unfortunately, if you are "kinda stuck with the car", there is not much you can do to increase performance in any appreciable manner. I am sure others will jump in with additional advice and opinions. Good luck.
  22. Hi Roxas. If you followed the instructions correctly, then the problem is possibly/probably one of the other options previously mentioned...i.e. a dead fob battery, incompatible keyfob, or other deeper electronic/electrical issues. Unfortunately, there is no way for any of us to accurately blind Internet diagnose this any further. You will probably need a professional diagnosis by a shop/tech you can trust. Keep us updated and good luck.
  23. Hi Roxas. I'm not sure what your answer is to "...did you try following the programming instructions contained in your Owners Manual, as opposed to online instructions which may not be the correct programming instructions for your vehicle?"...not instructions you found online? In your case now, it would seem the three simplest explanations are...The fob battery is weak/dead. The fob is broken/incompatible. Incorrect programming instructions. The programming was not performed correctly. So if you had the correct programming instructions, and followed those instructions correctly, then some of the other possibilities are... 1- The fob is not compatible with your Fusion. 2- The fob battery needs to be replaced. 3- There is a deeper issue which will need professional diagnosing and correction. Keep us updated and good luck.
  24. Hi Roxas. Did you already have two already programmed keyfobs in your possession when you tried to program the new one (as per the Owners Manual)? You need two properly programmed keyfobs in order to program more. In other words, you can program a third and fourth new key fob if you already have two programmed fobs in your possession. But you can not program a second fob if you only have one programmed fob in your possession. If that is the case, you will need a Ford Dealer to program the second fob. Or use FORScan software, an OBDII USB cable, laptop etc. to do it yourself Also, did you try following the programming instructions contained in your Owners Manual, as opposed to online instructions which maybe the correct programming instructions for your vehicle? If you already have two programmed keywords and followed the Owners Manual instructions properly, and it will not program, it is likely that the keyfob you purchased is not compatible with your vehicle. Or...there is an issue with your vehicle preventing correct programming. Let us know how you make out and good luck.
