  1. Hi RedRockit and welcome to the Ford Fusion Forum. Unfortunately, sometimes blind Internet diagnosis is simply not a viable option for accurate diagnosis, other than to repeat what the OP already knew about the P0299 DTC and what can be found by Googling "DTC P0299". In a case like this, a professional diagnosis by a shop/tech we trust is the best option, as much as we all try to avoid it. Good luck.
  2. Hi Fusionator12000 and welcome to the Ford Fusion Forum. If you are following the Owners Manual instructions and swiping your finger down the keypad or tapping it, and it is not lighting up, then there is an issue in the keypad or wiring itself which will need to be diagnosed. It may take a service visit to do so. Keep us updated and good luck.
  3. Hi Ron6754 and welcome to the Ford Fusion Forum. There is a "Shuffle" button. It is explained in the Owners Manual. To find the correct pages in the copy for your vehicle, it may be easiest to download the PDF version here: https://www.fordpro.com/en-us/fleet-vehicles/manuals-and-guides/ Then perform a search in the PDF for the word "Shuffle". That is what I did. Let us know how you make out and good luck.
  4. Hi cdygalloway and welcome to the Ford Fusion Forum. You are getting those warnings because the LED bulbs you installed are not compatible with your vehicle. They are drawing a different current than the correct bulbs. Sometimes this issue can be worked around by installing a capacitor or other electronic/electrical modules. Sometimes not. You may want to contact Sylvania, or do a site search here on the Ford Fusion Forum for the solutions others have tried Let us know how you make out and good luck.
  5. Hi Chaotix. Without getting into typing a long reply for each of your scenarios, your SRS system is working correctly. This operation, when lights will/will not illuminate etc., is explained well in your Owners Manual. If you don't have your hard copy, you can download the PDF version here: https://www.fordpro.com/en-us/fleet-vehicles/manuals-and-guides/ Let us know how you make out and good luck.
  6. Hi Chaotix and welcome to the Ford Fusion Forum. Your SRS system is working correctly. If you still think there is an issue, you should have it checked by your Ford Dealer. Keep us updated and good luck. ?
  7. Hi Roxas. Sorry if we were not clear enough: According to your Owners Manual, if your Fusion is equipped with a Sport mode, that "S" would be the indicator light, not the button. Try pressing the "L" button in the middle of the transmission dial and see if the "S" button lights up. And again, this is just Owners Manual reading and a bit of Internet guessing, since we are not there to witness anything. Keep us updated and good luck.
  8. Hi HLuna. "Fusion". "FusionX" or "XFusion" (with a number in the X space). Or "FusionX" with no number. Just the X. Etc. etc. Let us know how you make out and good luck.
  9. Hi Confusedfusion and welcome to the Ford Fusion Forum. It can be done, but you must change over all of the parts previously mentioned above. Good luck.

    Newbie Here!

Hi Dave H and welcome to the Ford Fusion Club! ?
  11. Hi dbordes. Just to avoid confusion for others: Our factory wheels are clear-coat painted aluminum, not powder coated. And the Parts Department at Ford Dealer will not usually be able to help much, since the color paint used on the wheels (if any) is not usually a well known coded paint like used for the body panels. And the clear-coat paint which covers most of the wheel is simply that...an automotive clear-coat paint. Our wheels are a polished or machined etc. aluminum wheel. Then it may have a color paint coat in the pockets etc. Then the entire wheel has a clear coat paint finish for protection. Essentially the same type of color paint and clear-coat paint as used on the body panels. For example, my car has polished aluminum wheels, with Magnetic painted pockets and a clear-coat finish. In the case of chipped or peeling wheels? It all depends on how bad the peeling and chipping is and how good we want it to look. If it is small/minor area, you may be able to get away with light sanding, polishing and clear-coating the area. It will look good from 5-10 feet away or even closer if the job is done well. However, to have them refinished to look factory new, the wheel needs to be stripped, color repainted where necessary, then clear-coated. While it can be done DIY at home, a professional wheel repair shop would be a better choice for most people. On the other hand, if having them stripped and refinished by a wheel repair shop, we can also choose to have them painted (or powder coated) in any color we wish. You can find available shops and get pricing on jobs like this by Googling "Automotive wheel repair shops near me". Those are the basics, but feel free to ask any questions. Keep us updated and good luck.
  12. Hi Stigmatico and welcome to the Ford Fusion Forum! Congratulations on your new Fusion! Hope you have many safe, enjoyable driving miles and good luck.
  13. Hi rosco. It is difficult at best to blind internet ddiagnose issues like this. However, it could certainly be a failing/failed blower motor, since a failing/failed blower motor would not necessarily make "weird noises, or any noise at all. It could be a bad or corroded blower motor electrical connection, a wiring issue, or a myriad of other possibilities. In my opinion, to avoid blindly throwing parts at the problem (which can be costly), it would probably be best to have this professionally diagnosed. I am sure others may jump in to help, so let us know how you make out and good luck.
  14. HI Mr.N. Opinion here: There is no reason you can not wait until you need new tires, as long as you manually check the pressures periodically (which everyone should do anyway, TPMS or not, and you can live with the illuminated warning light. It will save you money. On the other hand, if the light will be irritating, and you feel you may forget to manually check pressures, it may be a good idea to have them installed now. It is completely up to you and how you feel. Let us know how you make out and good luck.
  15. Hi Hudson and welcome to the Ford Fusion Forum. Going strictly off your description, it would seem you accidentally ran the battery down. If the battery is in good condition, it will charge with driving (or with a charger), hold a charge and all should be well. On the other hand, if it is weak, it may need to be replaced. The only way to accurately determine that is to have the battery load tested by a Ford Dealer or a competent shop. And a battery meter alone will not give an accurate battery health reading. Or just drive it and take your chances. In addition...How old is the battery? If it is older than 4 years, think about replacing it. Modern vehicles are very battery intensive, due to their heavy reliance on electronics/computers/electrical systems. So 3-4 years is what we can expect from a battery nowadays. And a weak battery can lead to all sorts of electrical and electronic gremlins. Keep us updated and good luck.
  16. Hi Roxas. What are you referring to as an "ass" button? Perhaps a photo will help. Keep us updated and good luck.
  17. Hi J.S. and welcome to the Ford Fusion Forum. Yes, it could be a loose exhaust component. It could also be any of several loose and/or worn front driver side suspension components. It should be easy to figure out if the vehicle is up on a lift (preferably a chassis lift with the wheels hanging unweighted). You could try jacking up the front left side to check, but that would be a less efficient way to do it. I am sure others will jump in with more advice and recommendations. Let us know how you make out and good luck.
  18. Hi HLuna. The factory code can not be reset. There is a procedure outlined in the Owners Manual explaining how to retrieve the factory code using the keyfobs. If you do not have your hard copy, you can download the PDF version here: https://www.fleet.ford.com/parts-service/resources/owner-manuals/ The Service Department at your local Ford Dealership can also retrieve the code. Whether they will charge or not depends on the Dealership and the customer relationship with them. Let us know how you make out and good luck.
  19. Hi HLuna. Yes you can. As long as the new wheels are properly sized in all the other necessary specifications, such as width, lug spacing, centerbore etc. etc. You can check tire/wheel sizing here: https://tiresize.com/calculator/ Let us know who you make out and good luck.
  20. Hi HLuna and welcome to the Ford Fusion Forum. Yes, it would be pointless for several reasons (as it would be with most newer vehicles). First, the Fusion already has an efficient factory CAI, which can supply more than enough air to the engine. So more air is pointless. Second...Most aftermarket CAI's are misnamed, since they are not sufficiently sealed, and therefore suck in hot engine bay air. All an aftermarket CAI will do is give you more intake noise, while possibly adversely affecting performance. Same goes for cat-back exhaust systems. The Fusion already has a good quality exhaust system. And the bottleneck in the exhaust tract of modern vehicles are the catalytic converters. So opening up the exhaust aft of the catalytic converters does nothing to help performance. It will only make the exhaust louder, possibly induce drone at highway speeds etc. Let us know how you make out and good luck.
  21. Hi Fred. No, there is not. Why is your CEL on? If you do not know, take it to your local big box auto store (AutoZone etc.) where they will scan for any stored DTC codes for free, and help you properly eliminate the problem. Once you have the stored codes, the best course of action would be to have a shop/tech you trust fix the issue. Keep us updated and good luck.
  22. Hi TPL and welcome to the Ford Fusion Forum. RPM dependent rattling noises are often due to a loose catalytic converter heat shields, or other loose exhaust system components. Having the vehicle placed on a lift so the entire exhaust and underside of the vehicle can be inspected would be helpful. Let us know how you make out and good luck.
  23. Hi Zechros. Does your vehicle have "Lane Keep Assist" and is it enabled? If yes, try turning it off and see if the issue still occurs. Let us know how you make out and good luck.
  24. Hi Duron and welcome to the Ford Fusion Forum. The firing order for your 2010 Fusion with the 3.0L V-6 is listed in your Owners Manual, in the Engine section of the Maintenance and Specifications section. Just check the Index under "Engine" for the correct pages in your copy. If you do not have your hard copy, you can download the PDF version here: https://www.fleet.ford.com/parts-service/resources/owner-manuals/ Let us know how you make out and good luck.
  25. Hi bcredneck1 and welcome to the Ford Fusion Forum. There are certain forum rules for posting in the Classified/For Sale section. We can give a pass on the minimum time/minimum number of posts. However, you still must post photos of the items being offered for sale. And each photo must contain a sign with your screen name and the current date. It can be something simple as a piece of notebook paper with your screen name and the date written in magic marker. As long as it is readable. This is necessary in order to demonstrate that the seller actually has the items being offered in their possession, for the protection of those forum members interested in purchasing. To avoid removal of your Classified section post, please post those photos within 36 hours. Thank you and good luck.
