  1. Just noticed the same issue on my 2010 Sport. Plan to stop by my dealership to look into warranty.
  2. Does anyone know what the correct tool is for removing the rear view mirror on a 2010 Fusion Sport. I see all kinds of tools online but non that I have seen list which vehicles they work on.
  3. Has anyone come across any decent deals on OEM 18" Fusion Sport rims. I've got Blizzaks on my Sport now but it's almost time to think about summers. I I realize there are many aftermarket wheels available however in this case I want to keep the stock look.
  4. I've recently purchased a set of Blizzak WS70 winters for my 2010 Sport. Since the instal I've only had one chance to get a feel for the traction in snow since winter hasn't really hit hard here in southern Alberta as of yet. I can tell you I was very impressed with both acceleration and stopping when testing the performance on some of the more snowy, icy side streets. I have not put them to the test as far as cornering and such but from what I can tell to this point there is no noticeable issues on my daily commute of 90 km's per day. I am also impressed with the fact that there is little if any road noise from these tires. I did spend a lot of time researching winter tires prior to making a purchase and it came down to the WS70's or the Michelin X-Ice Xi2. I believe either would be a good choice however When inquiring about pricing I discovered the X-Ice Xi2 was discontinued in the 225/45-18 sizing so the choice was made for me as I wanted to keep the original look of the factory Sport wheels. I came to the conclusion it was ultimate snow and ice traction that was ultimately after so the winter performance tire choices were not a consideration. I suppose it all depends on what is most important to you in a winter tire and what sort of winter conditions you will be facing this season. In the end I felt the initial winter tire cost is worth it. If only for that one time I may need to stop a bit sooner or pull out of some clueless winter drivers way slightly quicker in order to avoid a collision
  5. One of the main reasons for buying the Sport was the Aisin transmission over the 6F35. So far no problems...

    Sport vs SEL?

I can tell you I've owned a 2010 Sport over the past 7 months and I love it. I have to agree that the 3.5 is fairly quick and smooth. One major reason I went with the Sport is the transmission as it has far fewer issues than the transmission with the 3.0.
  7. Didn't know there was such a thing as a 2009 Sport ?
  8. I have to say the 5 star crash test rating was a prime consideration for buying the Fusion. Your story just confirms that... glad everyone walked away from that scare.
  9. Seems ridiculous! I find it hard to believe nobody can isolate or identify the problem. I would pay to take it somewhere to get an answer but where the H does a person turn to? quote name='_10579' timestamp='1305030671' post='41885'] "It's normal" is the excuse I got after $7,000+ of repairs. So, I guess it is normal!
  10. I have not taken it in yet as I wanted to research this issue a bit to see if there were any TSB's or any other info on these issues. quote name='drolds1' timestamp='1304181430' post='41529'] No, I haven't. They replaced my TC. It made no difference. This isn't to say that the TC isn't causing your issue, which I strongly suspect is a different one from the one in this thread You haven't mentioned whether or not you've taken your car in for service for this.
  11. Anyone heard of any issues with the torque converters in the Aisin 6 speed? Just a thought...
  12. I do feel it though out the vehicle... difficult to isolate. Its continuous vs momentary but does go away just before or after 90 km/hr. These issues can drive a person crazy. quote name='drolds1' timestamp='1304109952' post='41507'] Actually, I don't feel the rumble through the steering wheel. It's more of a "seat-of- the pants" feel. It's a driveline issue, which doesn't normally manifest itself in the steering wheel. It can also be heard. The momentary rumble occurs at 40mph & exactly 1500RPM, although it has also occurred at 50mph but still 1500RPM. Is yours just momentary or continuous? If it's continuous, then you have a different issue. I ask because in my case it doesn't last long enough to have time to shift back into 5th, if it's even in 5th yet at that speed/rpm.
  13. I seem to have a similar "rumbling" feeling mostly through the steering most noticeable at about 80 km/hr. If I shift manually back into 5th the rumble diminishes. Sure would like to know what going on. Has anyone heard of what is causing this issue? Any one had luck with a fix yet?
  14. Hey guys, let us know how the ride is once you have them installed....
  15. Two completely different cars. Depends on you needs ie: AWD, four door, acceleration. Both cars have their positive and negative aspects. I love driving both my Sport and 06 GT.
