simple question, haven't looked into it yet on my car... just thought maybe others had a chance to do this before? is it easy? hard? Let me know.. I'm looking to remove the door handles so i can have them painted to color match my car....theyre chrome, this is OK to paint over since its not 'real chrome steel' right?!?

hey guys. just picked up a brand new 2012 white platinum ford fusion sel. beautiful car, traded in my old 2008 for this baby. it came with the 302a package which includes the 'chrome' appearance. unfortunately, i hate chrome. the door handles, trunk trim, front grille and mirror covers are all chrome...what do u think in regards to the handles and mirror covers -- find replacements or just color match them to the car??? suggestions/opinions??

anybody know of how to remove the chrome window trim piece under the windows? ive looked all around and ive heard of taking the screw out on the door on the driver and passenger then sliding it out... but i heard that doesnt work? any other suggestions? the reason im trying to remove it is so i can paint it black.. id hate to use electrical tape lol id rather paint it just like this!!:

i guess what im looking for is better instructions as far as how to install the billet grille upper and lower.. i see everybody with painting the grilles and what not but thats not what im trying to do.. im almost ready to give up and bring it to a shop and pay for them to install it.. but id rather do it myself because i know i can do it... i just dont know if the grille insert gets mounted to the car or mounted to the bumper? and if im supposed to take off the entire grille assemble?

hey guys i have a question.. on my ford fusion 2008 sel, the chrome trunk piece is chrome and i wanted to remove it and paint it black.. any ideas on HOW to remove the trunk piece? ive seen it before, here is a picture... any help would be appreciated!! this car isnt mine, but ive seen it done so i want to know how to do it

i bought aftermarket grilles for the upper and lower for my ford fusion sel 08... i folllowed the instructions on how to remove the bumper, now i cant figure out how to remove the factory grilles AND install the aftermarket grille!! please help! there is a giant plastic piece that is behind the factory grille that basically is sort of like some kinda casing to the grille.. i dont understand if thats being used again or wht do i do!

hey guys im new to the site.. not sure if this is on here or not already.. i checked and didnt find an answer.... whats the easiest and cheapest (but looks the best) way to paint my chrome plastic bezels of the fog lights... i have a 2008 ford fusion SEL. is it hard to take off the chrome bezels or do i have to remove the front bumper to get to it?? any and all help is appreciated guys!!! here is a picture of the front of the car. ALSO, where did you guys mount the ballast for the hid kit for the fog lights??

unfortunately my license plate brackets do have rivets. is it as simple as everyone says - drill a small hole in each center of the rivet and it will pop right off? or is there more to it..

im new to the site but am trying to remove the license plate holder similiar to what you did! could you explain how to do it? i would appreciate it!
